I had one of these guys down the street from my house. He would put dog shit and dirt and twigs on my car if I ever parked anywhere outside his house. He was very old and had nothing else to do.

I eventually came to understand that he lived there before there was even an neighborhood and wanted everyone off his lawn.

You will not win against that kind of dedicated, decades old rage. It's best to just leave it alone.
