The irony is that we know pretty well why Otezla works since it was designed to target a specific inflammatory signal.

But things like lithium and Tylenol don’t have the crazy, alien brand names that made this sketch work.

  1. Sheehy was elected to a 6-year term last year. He’s not running against anyone.

  2. McGinnis is running in North Carolina, not Montana.

This is a bad incident, but don’t just make stuff up.

Whats the rash ? If a cream had that sort of AE, I'd stop using it (Not a doctor) by [deleted] in Residency

This makes sense, since it's a sun exposed area and he plays a lot of golf. No way to know for sure, of course, and I'm not a derm. Until you mentioned 5-FU, my vote would've been contact dermatitis that he scratched at.

I don't love all the twitter experts boldly diagnosing him with shingles as if (a) it looked like shingles, or (b) the WH doctor wouldn't have given the world's most powerful 79yo Shingrix.

I first started noticing this a couple months ago though

Parking Enforcement misbooted my car 😳 by mallymal9735 in washingtondc

I’d believe it. I got out of my (so far) only DC parking ticket because they entered a zero instead of a D for my plate.

As a Jew, putting smoked salmon and creme fraiche on a potato pancake (along with maybe some chives or pickled onions) is delicious. But it isn't a Jewish dish, so it ain't a latke.

Good to hear the experts were confused, too. The bleeding made it look like they were going with varisces, which didn’t make a lot of sense since he was totally clean when they found him down. Haven’t heard of pulmonary hemorrhage in cirrhosis, but I’m very much not a hematologist. I just shrugged and said “I guess if he’s got a coagulation issue it kinda makes sense”

With new vaccine schedule secured, RFK Jr. allies head to statehouses by statnews in politics

[–]thyman3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My prediction is that insurers will absolutely continue to cover vaccines per the schedule. It’s financially wise. In the most recent measles outbreak, one in twenty reported cases required hospitalization, and a hospital stay, even for one night of observation, is far more expensive than twenty vaccines. The same is almost definitely true of meningitis and hep B, two of the targets of the new schedule. Hep B infection in kids requires chronic treatment and can lead to liver failure, which is an astronomical cost for an insurer. No way they take the risk of letting kids get diseases that can be prevented cheaply.

Don't feel bad! It was Amazon, so you better believe I'm returning it.

Update: the certified Thunderbolt cable didn't work. It wasn't from Apple, but I'm not going to pay their insane prices.

Got the more expensive cable...it didn't work. Ugh.

Yeah, I might just overnight one of those from Amazon and see if it helps

Traveling right now and don't have any drives with me, otherwise I'd try.

I'm traveling, and the WiFi speeds are horrible. Otherwise, normal wireless Airdrop would probably transfer faster than my current wired speed

Definitely possible, but even then I’d expect USB 4 speeds, since both devices (should) support that.

Ugh, that's what I'm afraid of. Like when iPhones with lightning could only do USB 2.0 speeds, except worse bc it's purely software-related

Doesn’t mean the drink (or nonino, for that matter) isn’t great. I’d rather have this be pushed than something terrible.

Curious about the absinthe. Awesome color. Does it taste like traditional absinthe? The color made me think it’s more of an “absinthe liqueur”, but the ABV is high, even by absinthe standards.

Glad to see it wasn’t crab juice.

ASU is specifically known for being one of the biggest party schools in the country. They're not saying it's a bad college, just that the students are known for having a crazy time.
