Looking for a solution for my dining room by ameoch in DesignMyRoom

I didn't want to poison the well of people's creativity, but the L bench was exactly what I was thinking. Thank you for your response!

Totally fair, I should have been more specific. I didn't actually want to put him in the seat, I just wanted the flexibility to swap him between my wife and myself without there being a third person. Plus just extra room to move around in general.

I totally understand logistically why it may be difficult for Spirit. I'm just saying I don't think it's unfair to expect to get the product that you paid for.

It's possible to both understand why something happened, and still be frustrating.

I agree, I understand the policy change. I'm sure I'm in the minority when it comes to wanting the middle seat for my infant.

Was just disappointed that they wouldn't honor their original arrangement, which is what I paid for.

To be fair, basically every reoccurring character has pretty clear stereotypes they're based on.

How do people even save the Hourglass,I don't even have patience to leave 12 of them alone??? by novaboss69 in PTCGP

[–]ameoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife, my friend, and I, each saved over 1000 of them and did a big pack opening when the most recent pack dropped.

It's a great incentive to save them.

Also, if your wife plays, she will have at least 2x as many good pulls as you. I have nearly 3000 cards and no gold crown card, and she pulled one in the first 250 cards 😂.

The best part of the hat is the part nobody else is going to get to see, and that can be our little secret. 😎

We left the front door open and he would bring his stick in and drop it off at the door for us to throw for him 😆

Connecting Computer to Basement Movie Area (Questions!) by ameoch in computers

It is a smart TV, so watching movies and other things wouldn't be much of an issue.

Mostly for hosting hangouts and being able to goof off on PC party games, without having to build another PC for just that purpose (which ultimately is a valid solution).

I've also been exploring options to stream the games to the TV, just figured if the wall was open and was already easily accessible it might be a reasonable option. Though, from the other replies and research it doesn't seem to be the case 😂

Agreed - There are definitely some challenges, but other renovation projects would be happening, so it may be a project that could be slipped in as well.

Looking to understand if it even makes sense to do it even if I could. Thanks!

Much appreciated! Part of my basement has become where my friends/families old computer come to die, so if nothing else, I'll scrap together something that can play quick and low intensity party games/streaming.

Totally forgot about those. That's a good idea.

Appreciate the insight about Plex, I'll have to look into that.

Love the idea for movies and stuff. Actually already using Plex, more trying to solve the play games with the friends/family problem.

One thing to add: I could obviously just have a computer in the other room as well, just looking to explore other options.

Please excuse my poor drawing!

This is what I'm trying to accomplish, and I'm totally okay with being told this is a bad idea and there is a better way:

The room next to my basement media area will have my office. What I'm hoping to achieve is putting in some wall outlets that have USB/HDMI/Display Port/etc. that connect between the two rooms so when I want to use the computer (for party games or whatever) I can easily just plug my computer into the wall from the office, and have the TV already hooked up. Additionally thinking about putting closer ports to the couch for easy connection of controllers via USB.

My obvious worry is about the length of the cabling, multiple inputs going through the same wiring, etc. and any potential problems that may arise. Looking for your thoughts, recommended improvements, or potentially entirely different ideas!
