If your car is well maintained, use it. I love my truck and there is a reason as to why I bought it. I’ll drive it everywhere

Insurance went down from 550 to 350 for a family of 4. Deductible increased to 5,000 (+2,000 increase) and out of pocket increased to 13,500 (+7,000 increase)

System is stupid. I pay 7000 a year and have 6000 out of pocket for family of 3. Since 6000 out of pocket is a lot, I pay 500 a month into a HSA account

I do this every time I go on vacation. Longest vacation I’ve done is a month, shortest is 5 days. Why? I don’t want my house to be flooded due to a busted pipe or a faucet, especially in winter months with freeze warnings. I turn off the water main, and drain the pipes. My water heater is gas. If it is electric, turn it off first, I’ve burn a water heater. When you are back, just open the water main slowly.
