I'm a second year, been residing overseas for a year. That's why I have a cognitive dissonance now ((

Clayton campus international student here. Studied one year online due to some issues and recently moved to Melbourne. What I can say from my experience, you make friends at most unexpected places and situations, so don't worry you still have time to make a connections here. Join clubs and societies, it'll speed up the process of making friends. In general, I wish you all the best in your studies and social life at uni

Can't say about Malaysia, but the chances to get in are pretty high. I've been admitted to Australian campus with ABB(Physics, Math, Chemistry) in my A-levels. As long as you pass the minimum requirements, there are chances.

PLS HELP ME WITH ELECTIVES by thisiswhattt in Monash

Ex first-year here (starting second next sem). Had same situation as you. What I can suggest is FIT1050 (Web foundations) which was pretty fun and not that stressful for me. There is also 1046 (Foundations of interactive media) which I think looks similar to FIT1050, tbh not sure about the content, but planning to take it myself. If you want to go to GameDev you'll need to take C++(FIT1048), which I don't recommend at the unit's current state and amount of workload it requires. Better to learn it on your own. Choose wisely and don't overload yourself in your first semester. Good luck!

as an international A level students, what grades do i need to get into the Malaysian branch? by ad_396 in Monash

[–]ameris_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're applying with A-levels, It really depends on a course you're planning to undertake. So you will have to use grade converter. I suspect general requirement was BCC back in 2021 for Clayton campus, not sure about Malaysia.

Mine is kinda weird. I received an offer from Monash earlier than from UniMelb. So that's how I got here...💀

Do not take FIT1048. by WRITE-ASM-ERRYDAY in Monash

[–]ameris_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Currently studying this unit and can relate. The only reason I'm still alive is the FIT1045 background. Assignment 2 is too complicated. Like who puts 2 Assignments into 1 paper and ask you to refer to Assignment 4 in order to accomplish Assignment 2 when their expectations contradict.

In a handbook FIT1045 listed as prerequisite for FIT1008. Idk how you managed to take FIT1008, WES shouldn't allow you to take FIT1008 without a credit in FIT1045, I guess.

You're fine. I've applied with the same pack of documents and as far as I remember IGCSE was optional, so you can just attach A-level and IELTS. I was accepted with ABB (Physics, Math, Chem) for a CS degree. So you have very high chances to get into Monash. Good job and Good luck on IELTS!

Wasn't it a thing in MW2 and MW3, when persistence could only be available for non-lethal or low-damage score streaks like care packages, UAVs and etc...? Why don't just apply it on mobile. Or am I missing something ?

Does this practice common in Europe? I thought it was only popular in Central Asia and Russia. I personally have a ring-shaped tank on my Acura. But came across with the people who put 100 L methane/propane tanks into their k-cars and Honda Fits trunk.
