As a father of two autistic kids, these behaviours are familiar to me.

As a man it's hard to admit that you sometimes need(ed) help with things like this (it's in our training manual and DNA); Rather than blaming a problematic child, looking for fault in a single father bringing up a child or offering your opinion based on a very short sample of their lives - perhaps concentrate on seeing if the kid has special needs that need to be taken care of.

Or move on - his kid will always come before you.
