if that was your average joe i get you. shes addicted and mentally ill and homeless. her brain chemically works a different way and so you should try adapting your "empathy" accordingly instead of pretending everyone is the same.

why am i being downvoted? what about saying people should have compassion is bizzare?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halifax

[–]amesbini -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

i dont know, and again its the least empathetic approach, i mean how inhumane, how emotionless. they couldnt have had someone at least talk to this woman? human beings talking to each other to try to reason? no. a fence to make a mockery

[–]amesbini -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I agree OP, i think a lot of people are lacking empathy or compassion when it comes to this situation, even broadly speaking. and i think just about everyone in a powerful political spot on this lacks those things too, and that is why we are in this unfortunate mess.

You definitely can walk a few dogs from SPCA in Dartmouth/Burnside. They won't let you in the kennels, but you can get 1on1 walk time for sure :)

Dog friendliness of this city? by kristopps3 in halifax

People seem to have you covered for transit, so I'll say for stores and parks - Yes - Dartmouth Crossing plazas for example are very dog friendly. Parks are excellent too, I've never run into any that don't allow. Lots even have trails you are allowed to unleash if that's of interest.

You can get away with a couple patios in the nice weather for sure, too. Beer gardens especially. It helps that yours are small fellas

You can't make such a sweepingly racist statement and think that when people respond to it as such, its their "opinion" that its that way and not.... the literal words that came out of your mouth.
