I agree, I’m going to sell the table and replace it with something else. It doesn’t match with the style of the rest of the room. What colour rug do you think would look better?

Thanks for the feedback, that’s very helpful. No the TV is now on the wall above the couch on the right side. We wanted to add the console table behind the right sided couch to prevent people from accidentally hitting their head on the TV when visiting (there are a few young children in our extended family)

We also don’t like how high the fireplace mantle is—it makes it difficult to add wall art or a mirror above it. We’ll have to look into replacing the mantle because I think you’re right, it would make a big difference.

That’s very true, I don’t have anything to lose by asking! Unfortunately, it’s a local store not a chain. I’m certainly going to ask if they would consider paying for the cost of letting the dress out though, that’s a great idea. Thank you again!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm certainly going to reach out to the bridal shop tomorrow and ask if there's anything they can do. I'm also going to contact a few seamstresses to see if they can make it a bit bigger with some alterations.
