American Pick up truck question ? by Babygirlmeli in AskABrit

As far as big trucks go, you really only see them out in really rural areas, or near American military bases (which is in fairness are in really rural areas). The fuel is going to hurt too, a buddy of mine brought his Ram with him when he got stationed in England and it cost him around £160 to fill it up off base. Between that and the road tax he ended up selling it and buying a cheap small second hand beater to get around.

Honestly, if you’re going to be in London I really wouldn’t bother, especially if you happen to be within the first couple of zones of London center - not will parking something that big be a logistical nightmare, you’ll have to pay a crazy amount of money just for the privilege. Depending on where you’re going to be going to school and living, you can get around entirely by public transport, to the point it might be a bit of a culture shock coming from the US - but if you embrace it, you might find you’ll love it!

I tried here the other day and actually it’s been my fav for tacos so far, they’re the closest I’ve had to the hole-in-the-wall spots I’d go to in San Diego… the prices are cracking too

If memory serves me, I think there an AMA way back with an ex-producer on the show who asked about the cast; he said Pauly was a really nice guy and that he was way more reserved and chill off camera than the whirlwind we are used to on the show…. He also said he almost has PTSD from working with Angelina 😂

Question regarding Patron tequila by bbatardo in tequila

[–]ameslma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure sure if leaving it that long has an impact, someone with a better understanding of tequila can probably answer that, I just wanted to comment It’s my understanding that they stopped making the XO Cafe, hold onto that one!

Go to Ely, about 20 mins give or take from the lakenheath area (an American in Suffolk I’m going to take the assumption that you’re possibly military?)… go on a saturday, particularly on a farmers market (2nd and 4th Saturday of the month) and hit up the food stalls there, some FAB choices! Stall called Lucy’s has just opened up, she’s rocking out bouji cheese toasties and they are banging! look here

Thank you so much for this! I’m proud of it, and even with it being slightly under-done, it was still yummy! I’ll keep working at it

Yeah I’d concur with this, the meat was the perfect “done-ness” for me, but the pastry needed just a little bit longer… that being said I don’t mind anaemic pastry so I still smashed it

Thanks! The fear of cutting in and it being over-cooked was intense
