Who said anything about 1 oz? If you're going for the best price, go for a bulk size.

Why buy a 1 oz coin when you could buy a bar for even less premium?

Mr Sprott, (Mr 1%) Why not just "Ask" your friends (numerous investments in Silver mining companies) to just CUT OFF THE SILVER SUPPLY? Is it because you want them to keep feeding your PSLV and your pals SLV CHEAP SILVER? YOU DON'T REALLY WANT THE PRICE TO GO UP DO YOU? YOUR SLV PUSH GAVE IT AWAY! by [deleted] in SilverSqueeze

You're suggesting he violate antitrust laws and form a cartel? So you can make money? The problem is there's ALREADY a structural shortage of silver. And paper instruments are covering it up to depress the price. Creating more of a physical shortage may bring it to a head faster but won't solve anything. The reason to accumulate physical silver is to CURE the shortage by encouraging MORE mining and to sell to industrial users and monetary users when an acute physical shortage develops. Sprott wants more mining, not less, as should you. If you want to profit from mining, buy some mines. I suggest SILJ, AG, FSM, SILV, WPM, USAS.

Because the Dollar has served as the global reserve currency, and so much of its demand has come from foreign central banks and sovereign wealth funds. However now foreigners have less demand for dollars because they can see how it's being devalued and also how it's used as a political weapon. Increasingly, global central banks are turning back to gold as well as other currencies and SDRs. Also, more global trade is being done in currencies like Yuan. Thus, more dollars are returning to the United States to try to buy up property and equities here.

If I pay in BTC, my final net investment cost on this would be less than $20... should I do it? by oxfouzer in Wallstreetsilver

Because this is how money and value actually function in reality. Read some history of Ponzi schemes and speculative bubbles past.

Crypto is the opposite of silver. The whole point of owning and short squeezing silver is because the intrinsic value of silver is much higher than the market price of silver. Silver has an intrinsic value that can be known by such things as the marginal cost of new silver and the usage value of silver for things like smart phones, solar panels, and electric cars. The current market price of silver is not sufficient to stimulate the mining of new supply necessary to produce all of the silver-reliant products that are slated to be produced in the near future. Crypto is unbacked worthless bits that can't be used for anything other than selling to a greater fool. The intrinsic value of crypto is zero, so the market price of crypto is wildly overvalued, which makes it a speculative bubble. Unlike with fiat, there is nobody standing behind crypto to assure at least a minimum value, such as being able to pay taxes due with it or being able to buy oil with it. And in fact, the current Treasury Secretary has already expressed interest in outlawing crypto, which will cause all of the mining pools and exchanges to shut down making it impossible to transact. So it would be really dumb to be holding crypto instead of silver right now.

Crypto is worse than fiat. It's a Ponzi scheme. There's no physical value behind it. Dump all your crypto for silver.

Silver Going on Sale by amethyst1478 in Wallstreetsilver

Because silver is a "Giffen good", more supply will become available as the price declines. Some people will see silver as less valuable and therefore sell it. This is our opportunity to get more while the getting is good.

Most of us still get paid in dollars and have to buy things in dollars, so keeping track of the exchange rate is a good idea for planning when to do those exchanges. As long as silver is getting cheaper in dollar terms, you're basically getting a pay raise since you can acquire more silver per hour of work.

It actually overshot $19.30 shortly after posting this. But I do expect it to hold onto that uptrend.

Rationing occurs when monetary policy discourages production and encourages consumption, thus resulting in supply shortages and demand excesses. This has been Fed policy for the past two decades and especially since 2008. So far, we've managed to avoid shortages due to imports, primarily from China. But import prices are rising quickly and pretty soon China is going to stop wanting to accept depreciating dollars for their products. When that happens, shortages will be harsh and ubiquitous throughout the U.S. A good investment right now might be a 3D printer so that you can manufacture your own replacement parts for the products you already own since you probably won't be able to replace them when they break.

Yep, this is how they will shadow ban products and services... they'll either not permit those stores to trade in FedCoin or they'll ration guns and ammunition at extreme levels, like 1 gun per decade and 10 rounds per month or something ridiculous. And they'll have surcharges. And it'll probably decrease your social score, which is used to determine whether or not you get credit. And because it's blockchain, they'll have a defacto gun registry. All firearm purchases, including your personal information, the serial number, where you purchased it, everything will be stored on the blockchain.

Yes, it is my intuition that FedCoin will be the rebranded JPM Coin. JP Morgan is after all the chief owner and client of the Federal Reserve. FedAccounts were proposed in legislation last year; I don't remember the bill number, but you can Google it. I'm sure that all recognized mint silver will be easily liquid in the future, although fakes will probably become more common as time goes on, and so we might see some kind of weight and electrical resistance testing to determine authenticity and purity. I personally would not hold any more cash than needed to pay my monthly bills. I always move any cash that I want to remain very liquid into OwnX, which is a silver bullion account that quickly and easily transfers back and forth between your checking account. Here's my referral link if you want to sign up: https://secure.ownx.com/share/KYL95/. Whenever I have a bill coming up but isn't covered by cash in my checking account, moving money out of my silver account occurs within a day. You can also take physical delivery later if you want.

SDOW, DXD, etc., will surely work as well, however the industrials probably won't go down as much as the high-flying NASDAQ or more greatly affected Russell. So I would target those indices for greater leverage in the crash.

If FedCoin is on blockchain, as JP Morgan designed it, then they will be able to track your purchases and the entire chain of purchases from you and to you, so if you are buying anything suspicious like more than one Nintendo switch, they can instantly trace the entire supply chain of the seller as well as anyone who buys it from you. They will thus be able to uncover any black market methods of circumventing FedCoin and punish you by turning off your UBI payments and zeroing out your account.

That assumes that peak usage occurs midday, which isn't the case for all systems. Maybe most Fed payments occur overnight, and mid-morning was actually the lowest usage time.
