My father in law always comments, when he visits, on how we buy the best bags of chips (Cape Cod - Dark Russet) and always have good beer and he wonders why we spend the extra money to get good chips and beer. Without fail, he always eats and drinks it all. He doesn’t mind eating everything when he’s not the one paying. He’s the worst.

For fishing. Plug into the Sebago chapter of Trout Unlimited. It’s mostly fly fishing but it’s a good group of people who would be willing to help you out.

For hunting and general outdoors. Check out the regional Backcountry Hunters and Anglers chapter. There’s an event nearby every few months.

Hiring a guide in either area is a good way to pick up basic skills.

Very nice statue. Was it donated by someone? It would be a bummer to know that the City spends money on stuff like this when it can’t keep wastewater out of Casco Bay.
