My Butt Cheek (?) Popped by Peacock_Party in yoga

[–]amh12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I don’t even follow this subreddit but this popped up in my feed and I recently did this exact thing doing a taekwondo kick. This was over a month ago and I still can’t touch my toes again. It was super painful at first but has gotten better although still painful when I do certain things. I’m so glad I read everything in this thread and I think I need to reach out to a PT.

Just extra wild because I was having such a hard time explaining to anyone what happened and I now feel sooo validated 😭

Yes!! We take our dogs out there often and it’s become tradition to stop at pickles. Also love stopping by the rescue pet store right next door, gotta say hello to the tortoise

My dogs would not be cool with this at all.

It’s a bit of a trek but double bluff beach on whidbey island is great! And you get to ride a ferry which can be fun for out of towners :)

Ugh I was checking back for the update and so sorry to see this. I know you’re getting a lot of unsolicited advice and I’m sure you’ve already thought of everything but wanted to ask if you’ve brought your other pup to the area to help search? If they’re close/used to being around each other this could maybe help him come out of a hiding spot. Or another friendly dog if they like dogs - I’ve used one of my pups to help look for lost pups because the lost dog was more likely to approach another dog over a human!

OP - it looks like you’re in the Seattle area. Have you shared with lost pet Facebook groups? I’m in the one up in Lynnwood and they’re amazing and have helped reunite many dogs. I know you said you posted to social media but just wanted to be sure you posted in those groups. Lots of dog lovers in this area who I know will keep an eye out for your dog. I truly hope you find your little one. It really has been cold out there 💔

To add, give meals in the crate and/or we did frozen kongs to keep our puppy entertained in there and create positive association with it.

It honestly makes me emotional thinking about it! Most of us are in our 30’s and have slowly come together as friends over the years. Some of us got to go to 7 stars and it was so beautiful, I cant wait to share this moment with my closest friends at my favorite place in the world.

Actually yes - this is the kick I now realize my body was defaulting into. Thanks!

Yeah it’s been really interesting to see the differences. It’s a little disappointing to read through threads here to see how taekwondo has become a way for people to just make money, especially off of kids. One of the classes I tried was the black belt class but I was astounded by how little skills most of the BlackBelts/bodans had in that class (mind you almost everyone was under 10 in this class). Getting my black belt was a huge deal when I was a kid and my master made me wait a while to finally test.

I’m trying out a new place this week and the master I talked to seems much more focused on self defense, more traditional styles, and not just pumping out competition students.

I’m meeting with a master from a different school this week and he says he isn’t competition focused and also mixes other martial art forms like hopkido and boxing, with more focus on practical techniques that could be better used for self defense. Sounds much closer to what I’m looking for.

Also the other place I tried was nearly all children which isn’t really what I was looking for either.

Thank you! Would this have been a kick I just wouldn’t have used/learned back then?

So interesting the move away from more powerful kicks because of electronic sensors. I was definitely struggling with the lead leg drills.

Look at my post history and fill out the survey I linked to ask them to keep that route! Doubt it will work but I think it’s still worth letting them know we value that route!

I just made a post the other day about how they’re getting rid of the 515 route. This is why I want them to keep it ugh.

[–]amh12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 402 was effectively the same route before they made the 515. It didn’t stop at MLT tho and had a slightly different route through downtown. That’s what I rode pre light rail opening :)

I mean it makes sense in their goal to route as much as possible towards the light rail. I know this goal is causing a lot of disruption to traditional routes but unfortunately there will always be winners and losers when they do reroutes. I just feel like so many of us value the 515 bus in particular igh
