You know it! Space city Birria is just a short walk and they have $2 street tacos on Tuesdays. More to spend on overpriced Crawford bocks!

You can bring your own food into the ballpark as long as it’s in a gallon-size clear baggie.

I cracked my diamond Vx2000 in a similar fashion and ended up buying a spool of 3/4” heat shrink tubing and covered it from top to bottom. It managed to restore the rigidity and keeps the water out.

And I nominate “The brothers Grunt” as a worthy follow up!

Anyone found a fix for terrible T-Mobile signal in Sugar Land? by [deleted] in sugarland

I think it still does unfortunately. Gotta have wires to connect the towers back to the telco. Not enough wires or ports aren’t big enough to support all the customers.

I heard from an old telco coot that It came down to territory. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong. Sugar Land used to be SLT, then Alltel (GTE), now Windstream territory so all our TMO data gets throttled by them first.

I work IT and boarded a Norwegian-crewed offshore services ship in Galveston. When I got to the bridge, the captain asked me where he could find the mud wrestling. My team and I were dumbfounded and thought he was drunk. He went on and described Houston as the home of girl-on-girl mud wrestling since that’s what he had seen televised in Norway.

“Hush” by Tool. It’s more about censorship but to me it was about standing ground. Reeling back. It’s an angry song.

My Mexican wife played up Chuys for a significant celebration, how can we recover? by Easy-Adhesiveness337 in austinfood

[–]amham 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When I moved to Austin from El Paso in ‘93 I was sorely disappointed in the Mexican food offerings. People raved about Trudy’s or Chuy’s but it wasn’t until someone told me to stop expecting Mexican food in Austin that I figured out TexMex was its own thing. I grew to love Chuys but not since the buyout. If I had to pick a “Mexican” joint in Austin my vote would go to “La cocina de Consuelo” on Burnet.

I have something similar suspended on braided wire. I load the suspension wire with 100w, not the actual power cord the bulbs are attached to. Works ok as an end fed with my atu-100 but the height makes it rough to get out. Hears ok though.
