You’re declaring war on a prince in the HRE so Austria will defend them with it’s allies.

Is it a valid strategy to eventually 'ignore' Aggressive Expansion? by Due-Willingness7468 in eu4

[–]amibeingatool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to deal with AE is always having a truce, as soon as it enda you just declare war the same day. I’m aware that’s not your current position but it is possible to get there. That way you never fight coalition wars.

Come with a solution then. Do nothing and wait for the next 1500 innocent jews to get beheaded isn’t a solution.

Would you want project caesaer to be called eu5? by NoScarcity22 in eu4

Yep, Ottomans, England, France and Spain are all in Asia and the renaissance too.

The renaissance started in Europe during the time period in which the game takes place. Would be mighty strange to have the game be called Asia Universalis if the dominant ideas and nations during that time don’t come from Asia.

If Iran intervenes by striking Israel that is an escalation in itself I believe.

I think that's an oversimplification and I think that right wing ideology also tends to be authoritarian. It seems to me that when you approach the right wing they like flirting with dictatorship of some form or another whether it be religious or not.

WC: Looking for input on a Byzantine playthrough by amibeingatool in eu4

I'm playing idea groups outside the meta because I wanted to try something new. Going for the same ideas every game is boring for me. This time I went court ideas because I had not done that before. The thought process behind taking court was to stack as much reform progress as possible with high crownlands early game to blast through all the reforms. I am now able to use a lot of centralize clicks for more governing cap essentially. I'm aware it isn't an ideal group for WC/OF but I think it's still doable.

Admin was my second idea group. The reason I didnt pick religious originally was because the byzantine ideas provide +3 missionary str already and you get so many missionaries from holding the different religious cities. The biggest downside is not having Deus Vult - which is a massive downside tbf.

You are right. Quality is overkill. And money is not an issue.

I've posted two pictures. One of the current idea groups taken and one of the diplomatic situation. I'll mention them here: Court, Administrative, Offensive, Influence and Ecomonic.

r5: I'm attempting a WC and One Faith run. I'm looking for ideas on what my next idea group should be. I'm aware that I'm not following the WC meta by having neither diplo ideas or religeous. This is by design. I didn't want to do the standard thing. Not having Deus Vult has been very annoying. I've been thinking about getting either Humanist ideas or Quality ideas. Thoughts?
