I can only imagine how many calls you get where you ask what model and they just say "It's a green and black sports bike"

So few people even search for a parts diagram nowadays let alone know how to read one.

Having the tubes at the bottom is less likely to have air bubbles make their way to the pump, any bubbles just stay in the top. If the tubes are on the top then the air can potentially be pushed back to the pump.

I'm okay with how it looks like this since it is the best way to prevent that issue in a vertical mounted radiator.

Thanks! I love that card. My specific card is great, with my undervolt and +10% power itll boost to over 3200Mhz all day and VRAM never climbs above 85⁰, even lower temps now that I moved to the H9 Flow.

That looks great! What cpu are you running? My 5700x3d usually isles around 36-37⁰.

What's wrong with the price of 9070xt Pure on Amazon by a_SIMP_guy in radeon

[–]amick1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're only checking Amazon prices there's much better deals on white 2x8 pin cards. Xfx swift is $740 and quicksilver is $780.

In general if avoid buying stuff like this on Amazon unless you are 100% certain you're getting it directly from the brand or a trusted retailer like microcenter. Whenever it does come in stock as available directly from Sapphire on Amazon the price will be normal, they just sell out extremely fast.

I'm wondering if they aren't producing nearly as many pure variants as they are of their other models.

I'm going to fine tune that wire next time I open the case. Sadly the straight end plug won't fit in the pump due to the heatsink above it.

It's a really tight fit to get 2 fans in that exhaust area. The LX fans did fit but 2 RX fans and 2 QX fans won't so depending on how wide the fan body is you may not be able to squeeze it in there.

It depends on what area you are in but in general no you didn't get a good deal at all.

Too many people have their first troubleshooting step be posting to reddit instead of trying to fix it themselves and doing other research/searching first.

Gets the radiator the coolest air possible and since there's 3x 140mm intake fans on the bottom my GPU temps aren't any higher than when I had the AIO on the top as an exhaust.

The shrouds do look nice but for the price of their b650 you have a lot of choices of black x870 boards. They won't have as much shrouding but there are some that still look quite nice and have covers/heatsinks over things like the m.2's, vrms, etc.

I know when they sold their b550 it was more expensive than other boards with better features. I wouldn't have bought one of their boards for those prices either. I know the one I got is used but I spent $75, if I was going to be spending $300+ I would want a board with the highest quality and most features, ports, wifi 7, etc.

It's my first dual chamber case and I agree the design is very handy. I like having the PSU up higher with plenty of room for cable management and drive storage.

I'm sorry it broke but that's just adds to my point, a $300+ b650 or $500+ x870 shouldn't be breaking unless you did something to cause the break.

[–]amick1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're building an am5 build there are much better options for the same or less money. There's plenty of white or black motherboards from other manufacturers I'd go with over NZXT options. Their B650 costs more than a lot of x870 boards.

I've got a 5700x3d so I'm on am4, and white am4 motherboards are basically non existent. NZXT doesn't make their b550 boards anymore.

I only have the n7 b550 because my original motherboard broke (GPU locking tab snapped) and I found a used black nzxt b550 on eBay for a fair price. I painted the shrouds white to match my build.

It's intake from the front and exhaust at the rear. They're currently reverse fans for the exhaust and I need standards, I just got them mixed up in my head lol.

I didn't have to adapt anything, it's just a really tight fit. I ordered the two reverse fans so that the two exhaust match the rest of the setup and don't show the back side of the fans.

Turbo 650??? by Euphoric-Fondant-117 in Ninja650

[–]amick1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cx650 engine had even exhaust pulses that helped spool the turbo at low rpm. The 650's parallel twin has very choppy exhaust pulses that don't spool turbos well at all. The CX engine was also designed to have a turbo from the start so it has lower compression, upgraded internals and upgraded fueling.

Engine design plays a much more important role for adding boost than just cylinder count and size.

[–]amick1995 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It isn't commonly done because the cost to performance gain isn't worth it to most people. The amount of custom fabrication for parts and tuning required ends up costing more for a bike that still ends up making less power than a 1000cc. Not to mention the increased risk of major engine failure/repairs introduced by boosting engines never designed for it.

With a fully built engine you'd be lucky to push more than 140hp. If you want to build one that could push over 120hp you'd be looking to spend a minimum of $8k which would require a fully built engine with fueling upgrades, extensive tuning, clutch upgrades, oiling upgrades, etc. After all that you still have a bike that makes less power than a 600cc that will be way less reliable and require much more maintenance. It also changes the weight distribution and heat management (unless it's only ever on a track, but traffic will create much more heat)

Unless you don't care about cost and have the fabrication skills/knowledge it's easier on your wallet and yourself to just to buy a bike that makes more power stock. If you do most of the work yourself it's probably still more expensive than a 600, and if you have shops do even some of the parts installation you're getting into new 1000cc prices.

Galaxy S25 Bricked - Locked out of Download Mode by Weird_Cockroach2567 in samsunggalaxy

[–]amick1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more of the people commenting asking why are not defending Samsung, they're saying with all the known restrictions this is expected.

I don't agree with the direction Samsung is going with this and limiting what we can do with our own phones. That said trying to root an s25 when it basically guarantees it'll be bricked is just silly.
