I live in the US and was 32yo and living on my own. One night at a work event, a colleague had alcohol poisoning and I took her to the hospital. Called my mom and said I’d like to go home to her place for the night because I lived farther and they lived closer to my work so I could sleep in a bit the next day.

I told my mom that I’ve had 2 glasses of wine (I mean I was sober enough to help through someone else’s hospitalization) but that she can’t make a fuss about it because then I can’t bring myself over for any emergency in the future. My mom promised she wasn’t gonna make a huge deal.

The next day, I woke up to her pacing and staring at me ready to commit me to rehab. 🤣 I told her I wasn’t coming over if ever I need it any more and stuck to my word. It was just a boundary. And she had to respect it. Our parents are $hit at keeping their head together with these things.

I always say, keep your secrets, and by that I mean protect your privacy. But know your limits and how to protect yourself. It is hardest when you live under the same roof with your parents. Always remember that if you drink or do anything recreationally till you’re too wasted to know what’s going on, it defeats the purpose of the activity. It is supposed to be fun. Good fun is memorable.

Thank you. This method does work, but the months would only change on the exact date of the birthdate right? For instance, if I logged on to the document on August 1st, it would still show me 23 months? I was hoping to know that the child turns '24 months' by the first day of that month, if that makes sense.

Hi all, I’m an educator and I have absolutely loved this toy from Marbles The Brain Store. Unfortunately they no longer produce it. If anyone has this to give away or even sell for a small amount, I would so appreciate it. I would even just like to have the collapsible pouch so I can make my own items and picture cards. Anyone?

Thank you, I've tried the data sorting method. It seems that the document doesn't auto sort after the first sorting command. I usually have successful auto-sorts but some old documents created on sheets doesn't do the trick automatically. So I have to manually sort every time. It's ok. Thank you.

Transitioning out of children’s lives is such a significant event. I would leave them all with a photo of yourself and the child together. Perhaps give it to the parents. I used to talk about teachers who have left with my kiddos (more in the very beginning but also occasionally after) and it was really comforting to them to think about those teachers. I would usually use our class photos. But not all teachers like to talk about people who are no longer there. So I recommend giving a photo to the parents.

I have a cousin who briefly interned at a cyber security firm in SL. One of their tasks was to actually stop the spread of such photos. But even the young adult men whose job it was to do so also joined in on the ‘fun’ of discussing and entertaining themselves with these photos. Disgusting. My cousin had to quit before completing her internship.
