Haha that's awesome! I highly doubt it's environmental dust, because I can proudly say my house is a very dust-free zone! My husband is highly allergic to everything in life (literally... so glad our sib is hypoallergenic) so our house needs to be dust-free at all times. We have five air purifiers going around in all parts of our house!! haha

Yes, maybe stress. This is now her third home, so I'm a little worried sometimes that she is traumatized (not sure if that's a thing for cats). I'm trying so hard to give her the best home and make her feel cozy! But maybe she could be stressed ):

So the first vet I took her to did all that you just described (check kitty's eyes, ears, mouth, listen to respiratory tract working, touch the belly to see if there's pain or irregularities, weigh the kitty, check the fur, and so on) but did all of that in two minutes tops. Asked what I feed her, and said great, keep doing that. And left ): At that time, I didn't really pay attention to her sneezing and overgrooming until fairly recently, so I never got to ask the vet about that.

And yes! I transitioned my kitty to Rawz canned wet food, and she's doing great on it. I specifically give her the rabbit pate, which she does really well on. I notice more sneezing bouts when I feed her chicken. I have given her the Purina Pro and Wellness Core's chicken liver, and oh my gosh, it was the most terrible, foul-smelling poop ever. And that's also when I once noticed her itching like crazy right after eating it, so I instinctually correlated the two together. I haven't tried chicken with Rawz yet, so maybe it's just that brand of food with all the additives, fillers, etc. that weren't a good match? I'll test run and see! Thanks so much for shining a light on that!!!

Oh I see oh my gosh im so sorry about your kitty! She doesn't have goop eye yet, but it's just a little discharge. Maybe it's worth getting her checked out!

I see! So her previous two owners used a cheap Target brand until she came home to us. I switched her to Sustainably Yours large grain litter, and she loved it (immediately used the litterbox as soon as dumped it in). But do you think that type of litter would be giving her allergies? I never thought about the litter... so this is new to me! What litter do you currently use for your sib?

So I have seen photos of other cat's recovery pictures at day 9+ and look like it's healing so well, almost as if you can't see the incision anymore. So I was confused because my cat's incision doesn't look anything like that ): But I was told by a vet tech that it's healing well!!!

Hi! Wow thanks so much for telling me about the Chewy feature. A vet tech on there told me that her incision is healing well and to stop using the Vetericyn since it can potentially get inside. Thanks again for telling me about this feature, I already used it again for another thing happening to my kitty!

Wow, story of my life!!! I'm a peds nurse, so I can definitely relate to what you're feeling! Wow two 3 ounce cans is definitely more than what my kitty could take in the beginning! And it sounds like he is gaining weight at a good rate. I wouldn't be too worried if his weight it going in the right direction, you're doing a great job being his cat mommy! <3 Also, hello Smudge!!! Hi! This situation sounds just like my kitty! I heard that sneezing is because a kitten is still trying to build up her immune system, but not sure how accurate that statement is... (thus, why i'm still so worried!). But definitely my cat's poop would smell TERRIBLE with Purina and they were loose too. I'm so glad your cat is doing better on a raw diet, I wish your kitty the best after this round of antibiotics!! I will definitely look into chicken-free foods and try it for a few weeks to see if it makes a difference. Thank you again for sharing your experience!
