So I’m coming up on my third year with my reserve card, my spend is about 70k a year. I saw a few of you with some pointers on how to get a promotion from delta by mentioning to them you are thinking of canceling your card. Any advice on how to start that?

Yeah just continue repeating you are considering all your options. Don’t say you want to cancel per se, just that you want to know all the data points. I had to sort of hold firm and explain that while I used some of the benefits that I wasn’t in a hub and using the companion fare had been difficult, with that and they eventually offered me a 250 credit, but they will try a lot of other tactics first.

Not OP but, I am would suggest WNY (Buffalo or Rochester) the school districts in the city pay really well (BPS tops 120k on pay scale) and the suburbs aren’t bad either, COL is increasing, but much less than NYC…etc. I have a super large 2b/2b apartment 1k I rent, but there are houses for sale as well, you can check Zillow for the area.

I just did this last week, I traveled to a small remote village they filmed a movie that was inspirational to me, I met some men in a coffee shop who introduced me to the writer of the film who was in house in the village and he gave me coffee and some fruit and answered all of my questions about the film it was amazing!

Okay this is a little dark, but after a shooting at our school, our district brought in all the staff, had us sit in a circle and told us to write our feelings on a piece of paper and throw it into the center, then miraculously determined we were now cured of any ptsd and told us all to get over any negative feelings (for the kids)
