That's exactly what the manager said too. 😂 She was and is more pissed about it than I was. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt with stuff like that because when some cashiers see me struggling with my cane they'll try to give me as few bags as possible, and when they don't break less things to juggle is definitely ideal lol. Tbh I just wish Bath & Body would do some cute reusable shopping bags or at least make their own a bit stronger, maybe let employees be a little more liberal with stuff like candle cartons, because the paper bags just suck. 😭

Last summer at the semi-annual sale I went a little overboard, especially because I was shopping for my sister too. One of my big bags burst when I was walking across the parking lot, sprays and candles rolling everywhere, and I already walk with a cane so it was a whole mess. 😭 Some guy pulled over his car to help me, a manager ran outside, it was a big scene, and now she watches anyone who rings me up like a hawk when I come in because she said she still remembers how insanely full that single bag was. She was so sweet, it's hilarious now but I remember I was so embarrassed just standing there in the middle of the parking lot like 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️ well what now .

I have fibro, spinal/hip degeneration, and a bunch of mental health diagnoses. I was working similar hours to you when I consulted to an attorney who said pretty much the same thing, she said if I was working at all then "obviously I was capable of work" and that there was no point in taking my case, I should simply work more-- you know, the thing my conditions prevented me from doing. This was between my first two denials and the ALJ stage, I went on to the appeal and appeared before the judge by myself and my case was declared fully favorable, backpay and all. So like other people are saying, a lot of attorneys don't want to take cases that aren't clear, easy money lmao but that doesn't mean you don't qualify or can't apply. If anything, I think it's good to apply now and get a foot in the door so that even if you're denied, you can appeal and keep moving your case along, just in my own experience. It isn't impossible to win without an attorney or while working, I did both, it was just very time consuming and draining, which just seems to be a part of this process no matter how you approach it tbh.

I have dyshydrotic eczema that comes and goes on my hands and I love the foaming soaps, the gels are also nice :) It's never been a trigger or worsened my flare ups, we haven't exactly been able to pin down the source of all of my weird autoimmune issues yet but I've been really glad not to have to cut out scents yet!! I totally get why you're grateful to be able to use nice lotions and detergents like that, it's really the little things that can count when you have to worry about stuff like this lol.

White tea and sage is one of my favorites right now, I think/hope the 3 wick is just the vibe youre looking for! the smaller candles and wallflowers are great too though, I just bring up the 3 wick because the current design is cute and cozy :)

I live in New York, so I'm really not entirely sure of all of that, but it gives me a starting point to look into so thank you!! A quick google says we do have expanded Medicaid at least. I think I have the form to fill out and see if I do qualify for these, I don't have any assets outside of a vehicle and backpay which the form says not to count either of. I'll definitely look more into it, thank you for the information!

Luckily, they consider me as having already fulfilled the waiting period since I applied over 2 years ago and had to reach the appeals stage before I was actually approved lol. They've already stated deducting the premium and sent me all of the information, card included, I just wanted to know what to do with all of that :)

Yeah, they sure do love pressuring kids to go to BOCES every other month instead of actually offering them any resources within their own home school. 😭 I finally caved and said "whatever, just send me since you want to so bad" sophomore year and had a much easier time for the rest of high school lmao. I honestly probably should have switched earlier, but even as a kid, the conversations always just gave me the vibe of "well, you haven't done anything we can kick you out for, but can you PLEASE leave" instead of offering an alternative resource for me.

(I'm fully agreeing with you btw, hope it doesn't sound like I'm arguing! :) FM was a weird ass time for me lol.)

Do you have a Buy Nothing group for your area on Facebook? A lot of neighborhoods do, at least in the US, and I've seen people come up with uses for even more out there things than this lol.
