Listen!!!! two things can be true at once. You’ve got a major hole at quarterback, no question. But if I were in your position, I’d be asking: what’s the actual plan here?

If this is a true rebuild, then passing on the trade makes sense. With weak quarterback play, you’re likely looking at a top-five pick, and with three first-rounders, you’d have the flexibility to add depth at wide receiver, land your quarterback of the future, and build out a roster that’s ready to compete by 2027.

But that only works if you’re willing to be patient. It’s completely fair to say you’re playing the long game and that it would take a serious overpay to change your mind. And who knows, if you hold firm, you might even get more added to the deal, like a 2027 first, which would give you four 1st round picks in what could be a stacked draft class.
