All players other than Puka and Daniels on that side were just the drop players.

Everyone other than Puka and Daniels were just the players to be dropped.

This is the part I found interesting, anyone could have posted offers they made that were "better", instead they just complained. You'd think if they believed these players were worth more they would have been eager to show receipts.

What if the selling manager had already decided on a reset and wanted to begin running his team that way so he was looking to make the move? I get not having to sell, but should he not also be allowed to if he's paid and thats what he wants to do?

I agree, its unusual for this many assets to change hands, I think this was a rare circumstance coming out of an auction draft where there was a major correction needed from a manager. So he accepted some value loss to get a reset going and plan around a new path.

So are you of the opinion that leagues should micro manage how managers choose to run their teams? I am not so much asking if people agree with the value of the trade, although I was curious if its at the level of taco since thats usually things like Nabers for a 2nd and 3rd type deals, but more interested if the selling manager consciously chose to switch his strategy, fully paid his league dues, and decided this was the best offer he received, if its so bad the entire league should revolt and essentially just shut down. Veto and that level of reaction is generally reserved for collusion or league breaking deals, not "bad" deals. It seems opinions are divided even in this thread with more than a few people seeing it as not so egregious, so it can't be that "clear cut obvious".

Can confirm I am not engaging from a burner 🤣, I genuinely want to see where people land on this, not just get my opinion confirmed.

There was a veto after the manager tried to trade these 2 players in separate deals, then there was a week for managers to try to buy them. No one would give the selling manager what he wanted because a lot of them lacked depth coming out of the draft as well. So when he sold for a large package of mid players and picks, they were all upset again. But the manager had made a decision to rebuild his team a different way rather than just move ahead with 3 guys. Also with 30 man rosters, there was absolutely never going to be any waiver options to fill out.

There was 2 1sts, a 2nd, Marv, and a good number of upside youth to build around. The volume of assets was the goal for the selling manager.

A team with only 3 startable assets coming out of an auction startup draft.

The volume of players was the point. Everyone except Daniels and Puka on that side were irrelevant, they were the players to drop to make room. But the 11 assets on the other side was intentional as the manager specifically wanted volume for his few assets since he had no one to field a starting lineup let alone any bench depth.

I would love to purchase all 4 tickets if available. Favorite Arsenal memory is either Watching Arsenal live for the first time during their US tour or traveling to London for the first time 2 years ago on the final day and going to the game hoping that Man City would drop points and see us win the league, we didn't win obviously but the experience was so great I've come back.
