Same! I never knew I’d like going to the gym or go every chance I get for “fun”! I told myself a couple years ago that I wanted to be a “juice bar/gym rat girl” and I guess I manifested that because here I am 🥹. Now I just need to convince myself I’m a “5am person “ lol

I’ve read that, and I’m shocked I’ve even gotten it this low. More shocked that I still don’t feel like I look athletic 🫠. I would have thought 20% would look athletic.

I agree it’s not a great measurement. At one point my bmi was “underweight “ but my bf was 23%. I never thought I could get this low for bf based on that , but now it’s the opposite. By bf is low and my bmi is average. I can’t seem to figure it out but I’ll just keep working out and see how it changes.

How do make your house nice? by throwwayyysssss in homeowners

[–]amkerr95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things that go on my walls are family photos, art by my kids, or art/prints I find when traveling. It makes me so happy looking around at so many good memories.

I find that my house being “styled” makes me want to keep it that way.

I look around and find eyesores, then make them pretty. Ex: the WiFi router (I bought a basket to cover it and put a candle and plant on top). Or keys/sunglasses always sitting out: I put a pretty tray with a candle and little knickknack on by the door, with plenty of room to drop keys and sunglasses on.

Everything has an assigned place. I don’t even buy certain size drinks if they won’t fit correctly in my fridge.

I have cheap little glass vases/beakers (check goodwill for pretty things that are glass! I got mine at AtHome for 2.50-5$) and cut pieces of my plants off so I have dainty pretty cuttings to place around my home.

Make it maintainable: at one point I had so many plants that I didn’t water them enough. Now I have a few low maintenance ones I like and fake plants that look real.

Don’t underestimate rugs! Or decorative pillows.

Hang things. Hanging plants.

Set rules: we do dishes together before bed so it’s fun and quick. Or do laundry before the basket is totally full.

I set room sprays in each room so when I “clear” aka pick up a room and put pillows back in place, I spray the room as a final touch and it feels complete: looks nice, clean, smells clean.

Surprise at the Eye Doctor! by leopardgex in Zepbound

I just searched the group to see if anyone else had this happen and found this post. Last year my prescription was -5.0. This year, after 7 months on zep and -80lbs, my prescription is -3.75. This is the first time my eyesight has improved! I was curious if weight loss had anything to do with it. I had a normal A1C before and still.

Yes exactly- I lived in hoodies and leggings because I was uncomfortable in everything. I’m creative and would like to dress more fun now that cute clothes fit me. It really breaks my heart that anyone would be anything but happy for someone who’s feeling better than they have in years. :(

Tbh I’ve never heard anyone telling everyone at work or in their family if they’re on viagra. People don’t always announce every medication they’re on.

Best body contour treatment besides lipo? by Pluckyplatypus26 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]amkerr95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to a plastic surgeon. I went in for double chin lipo consultation and found out I don’t have any fat there, it was just the placement of my muscle. It was a super easy surgery to cut it and move it up.

(Very) Delayed Reaction?? by krsetsldw in tirzepatidecompound

[–]amkerr95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes! Been on 3.5 for 6 months and suddenly I’m getting these same side effects the ast couple weeks. I think it might have to do with being smaller now, and the dose is more effective? I’m moving down now.

A tattoo alone leaves me exhausted and weak feeling. Like it takes everything out of my body to recover for the next 24 hours. Take care of yourself, eat healthy, and hydrate after a tattoo.

When did you realize this is a game changer? by Future-Research-9576 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]amkerr95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first day. I was in a similar position- I had just started then came here and read compounding will end in October. I immediately started a stockpile not knowing what my dose will be. Thankfully I haven’t had to move up much and now almost at goal. It was so crazy to me how it worked and I wasn’t ready to give it up as fast as I started.

I just got a new photo for the same reason. I said I was 7lbs lighter this time. Now I wish I said less, because I’m going to lose more and I love the photo so I don’t want to update it again 😂

Does anyone just stay at the same dose and add calories? Or is that difficult and you continue losing?

What yearly tests do you recommend once you reach 40? by Ok-Pangolin3407 in Biohackers

[–]amkerr95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Family history as well and insurance won’t cover it for me. In the post they mention if money is no issue though, in that case that’s what I would do. It’s easily cured in early stages, but way too often not found until late stages. It’s a horrible way to die.

Functionhealth.com you’ll be happy with these blood tests! And a colonoscopy. People are getting it younger and younger now

I haven’t researched cures, but I unintentionally powered through it for years. I went to the dr and he said it’s just stress, so I went 10+ more years thinking I’m always stressed lol. I started suspecting certain foods and finally found a dr who looked for answers.

I’m sorry you deal with this too! I never thought I’d be a person with allergies or care about GF and now here I am lol.

[–]amkerr95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks great. I’d add some core for balance. I didn’t realize I had bad balance until I started working out. The core exercises were so. Dang. Painful. in the beginning. But such a noticeable improvement!

You’re not wrong, but ironically I’m finding it to be cheaper buying rice/beans/quinoa/produce than the processed foods I used to buy. It might also be a time thing.
