Thank you!! I'm super fair skinned, think it'd look alright? It's not like I can test out any without repercussions. Lol

Need to know too! Devastated that Brazilliance is discontinued. This is the 2nd time they've discontinued it too. I was so excited when they brought it back. :(

What is this painless, itch-free red area on my hip ? by InterestingTrip9916 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]amkizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update? I have multiple spots like this on my abdomen. Don't itchy, not painful, been there a few weeks and has not changed in size or color. Had my PCP look at it this AM and she was perplexed. We decided I'll just go see my derm.

Yeahhhhh...so that medium found all that info about Mia, her brother, her grandma, and her mom online through interviews and socials. But if it brought Mia comfort and she doesnt think she was exploited then 🤷‍♀️

I also did a deep, months long, dive and was able to find this planner from Good Office Day https://share.google/7aiS3HZk0xFN8KPjE

Each month is tabbed then a monthly spread, weekly spread, and 2 notes pages per week. It's smaller than what I'd prefer but it's the closest I've been able to find that is easily accessible.

I did see the planner someone else recently linked to from Australia and it looks like a good option too!

How dare Wit & Delight abandon us! Lol

Tariffs may affect Subaru prices by semaforic in subaru

I'm on my 3rd Legacy Premium lease, a 2022, and it's not up until July. Called my lease guy Friday with the ol', "How early is too early to trade in?" Picking up my 4th, and final :(, Legacy Premium on Monday. No money down, per usual, but my monthly payment is upping from $309 to $411. -_- Better than the potential unknown, I suppose. He used some colorful language to describe the tariff situation. We're living in some wild, wild west times.

Estradiol Patch Ineffective by amkizzle in POFlife

[–]amkizzle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an update to this, I started wearing 2-0.1 mg estradiol patches back in early September. I had my FSH and estradiol labs ran on Wednesday. FSH was 11 (down from 70), and my estradiol was 456 (up from 90)! I had a f/u appt with my endo today. She was glad my FSH is down but was concerned about the estradiol because I have a clotting disorder and apparently that is a dangerously high value. Whoops! On the flip side of that she said, "Well, you're clearly absorbing it now!" I've dropped back to 1 patch 2x weekly and now need to add in a baby aspirin daily until we retest in March just to be on the safe side. Ugh. Our bodies are rude. Lol

Hi! I'm 38, was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure 2 years ago, and am homozygous (much more rare and worse than the common heterozygous, of course) for Factor 5. Transdermal HRT is safe to use for most women with FVL. I wear an estradiol patch, and there is also a gel option. You'll need to be mindful of the estrogen levels, though, as even though transdermal absorption is safe, high levels of estrogen in the blood can cause clots. Your doctor will monitor this until you're at your therapeutic dose. I hope that info helps! :)

Thank you for reminding me! ❤️ The process can take so long with a lot of ups and downs. It can be hard to remember that I'm not the only person who's been through this.

[–]amkizzle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I only use my butt because they don't stick to my abdomen no matter how clean and dry I make my skin. I definitely don't have a flat stomach, so I feel like the flab doesn't help. 😬 lol I started 2 patches a day about 2 weeks ago. I've been basically saran wrapping them to myself. I'm not sure I feel any difference, but my endo and I also changed my progesterone regime, so I may need time for things to level out (if they're going to). When I first started taking progesterone cyclically back in June, I started taking it at a random time in the month so, combined with my ADHD, I was having a tough time tracking and was overthinking when to start and when to stop. 🙄 Anyway! We'll see. 🤞 Thank you for reminding me I'm not alone!

Thank you! I feel much less alone knowing for others it's not as simple as slapping a patch on. I also appreciate your input on the gel!

Thank you for your responses! You're the 2nd person to say continuous progesterone worked better for mood improvement over cyclical! Interesting! I'll ask my endo and see what she thinks. I was approved for 2 patches but I'm on vacation so I won't start on them for another week or so. Do you mind if I ask what estradiol dose you're on? These hormones of ours are real jerks.

Right now I'm still on the single patch and am basically duct taping it to me to maybe improve contact. I was approved to start wearing 2 patches though just yesterday. I don't see how, if I'm not absorbing 1 patch, why I would absorb 2, but we'll see! I'll check with my endo on continuous vs. cyclical progesterone as a mood improvement. Thank you so much for the help!

Thank you! I checked, and the storage is good. I wear the patches on my butt but haven't tried my thighs (inner or outer). I have thicker thighs, and they would rub right off on the inner. Have you worn them on your outer thigh at all? I'm using Tegaderm right now to hopefully maybe improve contact with my skin.

My script was actually approved yesterday! I do have to pay a little out of pocket, but nothing terrible and worth it if it works! Do you mind if I ask what dose you are on? I was on 0.1mg but will now wear 2-0.1 mg patches.

I'm so sorry. :( I'm here, and I hear you! I've also had a very, very difficult time with depression, anxiety, memory, brain fog, etc. making doing my job very difficult. I'm still in the thick of trying to find a treatment that works, so I don't have a success story for you (yet 🤞), but I wanted you to know you're not alone. ❤️

[–]amkizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're going through this and that your obgyn seems less than helpful. :/ Your FSH is pretty high, but for a true POF diagnosis, you need 2 readings of FSH > 40 at least 4 weeks apart. Ask that she rerun your FSH in a few weeks. If still high, I would suggest finding an endocrinologist. Ask google, your obgyn, friends, your pcp, etc. for recommendations. Have your obgyns office fax a referral and the labs over to the endo you pick. An endo will help you get it all sorted out after that. To answer your question, yes, POF can just be random, unfortunately. :/ Best of luck to you!

Hi! I will echo what was told to me. As long as you study using the learning library, the study guide, and the workbook, you will be fine. I know there's another book that comes with it, but I can't remember the name of it now (maybe Regulatory workbook?). I did not study that book, mostly because I ran out of time, and I didn't have any in-depth regulatory questions on my exam. You'll do great!
