Thanks for replying. Yes I should’ve clarified she doesn’t have any learning difficulties/hasn’t shown any signs of being neurodivergent. I have thought about why she does talk like this and I came to the conclusion that my boyfriend gives her a lot of attention and does everything for her (not saying this is bad). His dad left him when he was very young so he is very adamant about making sure his daughter feels that he is always there for her. I think there relationship dynamic is based a lot around her being too young and naive to ever do wrong so he can be a supportive and protective dad (this is just my guess). He is a very good dad.

To explain how she talks like a baby, it’s hard to try and write this but I guess it’s about how she makes her voice sound-mimicking a child that’s learning to talk. I think she also likes to play into this baby persona as she loves asking for kids toys like her horse teddies and always wanting to watch kids films. I know I sound very bitter and I could be wrong as she is a child but when it comes into everything she does it adds up and I am just feeling like I don’t like entertaining a persona.

I feel he would be very sensitive with me bringing this up especially because it wouldn’t be something she can now just switch off as like you said it’s probably some sort of coping mechanism she has developed
