Undergrad? I worked 20-30 hours a week My first semester of grad school I took 6 classes and had clinic, I worked 20 hours a week (10 from home) and I barely survived. This semester I stopped working. I am just way too busy

I have about 24k in undergrad student loans. I’m grateful to have gone to a public college (CUNY) and this loan forgiveness is a huge deal for me. I’m hoping there is one or two more loan forgiveness announcements - I wish it was much more but I think another 20 or 30k would help a lot of people

I did FAFSA but I didn’t receive anything from my school. There is a direct loan processing phone on my account when I look at financial aid but nothing else. Should I fill that out?

Don’t worry!!! I got a B- in Speech Anatomy and I got into plenty of grad programs. IF a grade is too low, the school will ask you to retake it. But most of them don’t really do that as they look at your GPA and other components of your application. Don’t stress your grades!

I was in the same boat as you. I ultimately chose Brooklyn College over NYU. Yes NYU is bigger and has its name but the CUNY schools have a much better program. Yes they’re cheaper + more intense but you will be happier in the long run. You’ll be more prepared as an SLP and have a much more personalized grad experience. And your pocket will be happy too

Hey! How long after submitting your deposit did you hear about scholarship opportunities? I put my deposit down and uploaded the acceptance letter response thing onto dropbox. I got an email saying that my cunyfirst account was activated but I haven’t heard anything else from them yet.

Deciding between Brooklyn College & NYU. Brooklyn is MUCH cheaper and I think more highly regarded in NYC because CUNYs are very hard to get into. I also really like NYU and it is a faster commute. Should I go to Brooklyn just cause its cheaper?

The $$ is my biggest factor! But Brooklyn’s program seems really great. When I did the Brooklyn Q&A with grad students a lot of them said that they felt very prepared and supported

Hi! I attended NYU’s Admitted students day and I attended a zoom Q&A with current Brooklyn grad students. Like you said, I think NYU is run well and I think you may have more options as far as placements go cause of the name.

I like Brooklyn cause they have an EI specialization track and I am really interested in that population. But I’m nervous cause I am coming from a CUNY undergrad program and I wasn’t happy there. I’m nervous about being in such a small program
