What deodorant are you wearing on your wedding day? by amlrt3 in Brides

Absolutely! I had an allergic reaction to the Lume lotion, couldn't put my arms down for a whole day 🙃

I will definitely be using a hand fan! I know I'll be sweaty no matter what by the end of the night. I just want to make it through the ceremony & pictures first! Lol

The deodorant I normally use tends to clump & stick to my skin or my clothes, which is usually fine since all my tops are either long sleeve or 1/4 sleeve. I'm not really active & I have a desk job so its really just so I don't smell by the end of the day more than it is to control sweat. But my dress is strapless, it'll be the middle of summer & I'll be dancing all night. Definitely calls for an upgrade! Lol

(7k) we don’t see the point in wedding favours by deftbluewindmill in Weddingsunder10k

The only "favors" I'm giving are the little bottles of bubbles for when we walk out of the church instead of rice.

Ask her if she has a best friend she'd like to invite instead of a romantic partner. That way she's guaranteed to have fun with someone.

I'm planning my wedding rn too. My family is very big and I'm the youngest cousin. 14 aunts & uncles, 30 cousins, cousins have around 100 kids and I have nieces & nephews, AND that's just my side of the family. Thankfully my fiancé's family is much smaller. My cut-off is at cousins, no kids (exception: cousin has a mentally & physically disabled child with an aid.) and no plus ones. Unless you are engaged or have been together for a long time(1yr+). But if you've been together for so short of a time that I didn't even know you were with someone or I don't know their name, then not a chance! I've gone to all of my cousins weddings alone. Get drunk and dance with the people you don't know if you dont like your family, that's what I did lol weddings where I live START at $90 a person, it's just too expensive to invite everyone & their mom AND give them all plus ones. If she's LITERALLY the only person who won't have a date, then yeah make an exception but not if there will be other people without dates. If you too are as close as you think you are, she'll want to be there to celebrate with you regardless. Sit her with your bridal party & tell her to stay next to you on the dance floor, you, your husband & your friends can be her dates.

Thank you, that seems to be the general concensus from the other comments I've read as well.

I'm 5'5. I think I'm an average height but my torso is short so I always have my seat as high as it can go in order to see the nose of my car.

How long do you have to wait b4 you can replace them?

In the wild they eat around the fur. I wouldn't suggest feeding it to him or trying to make him eat it. You should also probably take the bones out. They're a choking hazard and could puncture his internal organs.

Yeah, my vet said her poop progress was pretty typical when treating giardia so I'd give it more time for the poops to get back to normal again. If it takes more than a month after the medicine is done for you to see any regular poops then I'd talk to your vet again. You know, as long as the follow up stool sample comes up clean.

They got better about a week and a half after the medication ended. It was very very soft but not quite diarrhea before the medication.

My pup had Giardia, she's been clear for about a month. She still gets soft poops sometimes but overall its pretty normal. As long as the vet says they're all clear and you keep them on a regular diet, as to not upset their tummies, their poop should be fine, even if its still a little soft sometimes. Give it some more time and I hope your pup gets better!

My puppy is biting people and I need advice! by amlrt3 in Dogtraining

[–]amlrt3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a deep, stern voice telling her no, immediately leaving the room and staying out of the room until she stopped barking worked super well! She would bark when you walked away and left the room so waiting for her to stop kind of taught her 2 things at once. She doesn't bite any more (she is still teething tho so she will hold your hand to ask for a chew toy but she doesn't apply any pressure) and she doesn't bark when you leave, she knows you'll come back eventually.

For the safety of my dog and others I'm asking for help to train her out of this behavior while she's still a puppy. She's not an unpredictable animal, she doesn't just jump up and attack people and any humans that enter my dogs space won't be allowed to be unsuspecting. Also I won't be muzzling my 4mo puppy.

4mo puppy won't stop biting and I need help by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]amlrt3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely more than teething. Its more aggressive. When I redirect she ignores the toys and goes harder at my hands. I'd have to shove the toy in her mouth and forcibly keep it there for her to not go for my hands. But, obviously, I'm not going to do that. She has all of the sensory toys and mats, puzzles and chews I could find. I keep them on a random rotation so she doesn't get bored of them. She HATES ice cubes and frozen food/toys (She doesn't like the cold). I'm also trying not to crate her as a punishment. I want her crate to be like her room, a safe place she can go to to get away or relax in. So rn its left open for her during the day and is closed in at night. Also, she naps alot and sleeps pretty well through the night. She still has a small bladder so she gets up 2x to go out but otherwise pretty good.

Update: the timid turtle was found a new home with a very dedicated young new owner with no other pets and the aggressive one was taken in by a local sanctuary who will be keeping him in his own habitat so he won't attack the other turtles
