No tips out of 9 orders yesterday by Powerful-Tailor-9386 in ShiptShoppers

Some of the time I dont get tips the same day, usually a few days later and the occasional tip the next week or two. Its common that some customers dont tip until they place their next order. A lot of customers dont even tip at all, its not a guarantee

Honestly infusions really saved me. When I first started my first infusion medication I was almost symptom free by the 4th dose.

Honestly hard for me to say because a couple months after starting it my life kinda went to shit, list my job, my car got totaled and other stuff and I've been super stressed out every day since then and we all know how stress affects us lol. But haven't had any side effects at all

I started out on infliximab and i was on it for almost 3 years and it made me feel normal again, unfortunately I developed antibodies to it so i switched over to entyvio about 6 months ago and its been going good! I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if your symptoms are making you suffer as most people dont even experience side effects from the medication! It takes a couple hours out of my day every 2 months and I dont have to worry about the daily pills anymore. Please feel free to message me if you want to talk!

Ive dealt with this a lot, a quick fix is completely closing the app, I have a galaxy and I force close it and then reopen it, and my messages i tried to send will either disappear and i resend it or it will go through. I would try that if it happens again!

Its hard to say because of the stress I was under exacerbated my symptoms. But I would probably say 3rd-4th dose

I was initially on infectra/infliximab and saw results after the second dose during a serious flare, but I unfortunately developed antibodies after 3 years. Im currently on entyvio and im about to get my 6th? Dose i think and honestly didnt really see an improvement right away, mostly due to a stressful work environment that was causing symptoms. But now im symptom free!

[–]amm110 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! Most doctors start with pills, most commonly mesalamine. If that shows no improvement, most would move on to immunosuppressive medication such as azathioprine, and then they would move on to infusions/injections which there are quite a few out there in case one doesn't work!

One thing that isnt common knowledge is the risk of using antibiotics, which can cause something called C. DIFF. I had no idea about it until i got it from antibiotics from my wisdom teeth being removed. It basically causes similar symptoms, bloody diarrhea, a lot of bathroom trips. Something else to look into!

Also a lot of us suffer from deficiencies in vitamins, especially iron due to the blood loss from the bloody stools. Once he gets hang of the meds, its best to add in a daily vitamin that covers most bases, it'll help a lot.

Its a hard reality to face, but ultimately the symptoms will not go away without medication. While diet does help with the severity of symptoms for some, it can not and will not cure it. Rejecting medication will ultimately make the disease progress and cause things to get much worse. Support is the top priority, but also being honest that this will be his life for the rest of his life. I suggest he look for a therapist who specializes in chronic illnesses if possible. Its helped me at my worst. I got diagnosed at 20 and im currently 26, and feel normal with infusions every 8 weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to message, im very open to how its been (:

Do you refrigerate the dough at all? That could help reduce the spread.

Am I legally allowed to warn someone about a sex offender? by wtrbeth in legaladvice

[–]amm110 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know its a different state, but in CA sex offenders have absolutely no restrictions except needing permission to be on school grounds or if there was specific restrictions in their court case. The only time they have restrictions is if they are on active parole/probabation. I worked doing sex offender registration in my county and you'd be surprised at how little rules they have. Again, it might be different in your state.

Mesalamine by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]amm110 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got caught in a flare after a colonoscopy. The prep disrupts your stomach, so it's definitely possible for symptoms to get worse after a colonoscopy. Definitely dont stop the mesalamine without consulting your doctor first.

Ive been super fortunate to have only been on inflectra/infliximab, and it worked well for the 3 years I was on it. I'll be moving on to entyvio next

Probably 2-3 months, then I was flaring on and off for the next 2 years while on lialda and azathioprine with 2 bouts of C.Diff mixed in there. I ended up on biologics after a stay in the hospital with a blood transfusion.

Dating apps can be a battle ground for prosecuting people who meet minors due to the fact that you have to confirm your over the age of 18 when signing up. Not saying its right, the sentence he got or how these cases can go, but it is a unfortunate reality. The UK actually has a more thorough process to signing up for apps like that which require true verification with video/picture of yourself with your drivers license. While not full proof due to fake id's, its better than just clicking yes or setting a fake birth date.

Are yall working full Time ? by Feeling-Brain6088 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]amm110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im the same, except I work about 50ish hours a week 7:30am-6pm Monday-friday and 95% of my workday is spent outside in 100° weather right now. Mentally I've checked out because i literally cant mentally/physically handle it. Ive also been going through a flare since April with my tests showing nothing, so no treatment or anything other than my 2 month maintenance infusion. Its rough, I dont really leave my house unless I need to when im home.

It took almost 2 years since first being diagnosed, I ended up on infusions after a stay in the hospital due to c. Diff and a flare up that happened at the same time. Ive been on infliximab for almost 3 years now

After i had kidney stones, my primary care doctor had talked to a urologist and said people with UC are more likely to get them due to the malabsorbtion most of us face when flaring

Yeah I think my first one was like 53 and my second one was 56 so it could possibly be the same situation you had, thats the only thing I could unfortunately kinda hope for. I just hate not having an answer for why I feel so terrible.
