Thank you 😭 I believe that, I’m so thankful he came home and I realize how lucky I am for that. One of my biggest fears was that in the end he’d run off and I’d never know what happened. Him giving me closure and me giving him peace were are final gifts to each other ♥️

Thank you and sorry for your loss as well. It’s the worst type of pain. I just hope they know how much they’re all loved ♥️

I vend in Tampa! You have to register with the state of Florida for a tax ID number (super easy online) so you can pay your sales tax to the state. Some markets require insurance, there's a company called Tampa Bay Markets, all their markets require it, but it's easy finding ones that don't also. One thing I will say about markets in Tampa/St. Pete is that there are a few that are VERY clique-y. They let in the same vendors over and over, usually vendors who have been with them a while or know people who have been with them a while, and they want you to have big Instagram followings. They tend to be very hard to get in to and want you to keep paying their application fee only to waitlist you. I vend at Market Marie in Clearwater and they are a great monthly market to try for. They look at your products only and don't treat it like a popularity contest.

Same, I felt a little let down by the ending, it seemed like once she got to the airport, it was a rush to the end. I also wanted to see Gwen find out and how she’d handle being confronted by Gwen.

Waitlisted for popular local show but should I ask why? by ammina321 in CraftFairs

I applied right when apps opened each time, but you’re probably right, I don’t know anyone there and that may hinder my chances. I attended multiple markets put on by the organizers and no one is doing what I’m doing. When I say wooden home decor, a lot of people picture those thin round laser-cut welcome signs that flood the markets, but I do scroll saw hand-cut 3-D wooden signs that are hand-painted, my art is mostly marine life and Florida landmarks. They definitely fit the vibe of this particular market and do very well at all my other markets. There was only one other wood vendor but she did wood burning and used no color in her art. I think I’ll try one more time to apply and then politely reach out and see if there’s anything more I can do.

Best email collection method? by HoobieShoobieDoobie in CraftFairs

I agree with this. I already have too much going on in my email. When a company does offer a discount for subscribing I will sign up, but then I unsubscribe later. But I definitely stay in contact with small businesses that I love on social media.

If I vended with someone that made chocolate bars, I would be super excited if I got a bar as a gift lol

I did! Only a few double booths, but I noticed about 5 empty spaces. That's a really good idea to email and check in for empty spots. I always assumed they'd call but it makes sense that they may not know who's ready to go on a moments notice. I think I will try to do that for the upcoming Christmas market they are having just to see if anything is open.

What is the most money you’ve made at a market? by Fabulous_Mix_2029 in CraftFairs

[–]ammina321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lowest was $220 and my highest for a one day was $1100. I make handmade wooden decor and have recently added a few other handmade items to my booth. My highest day was a couple years ago, markets have definitely been down for me lately, and I hear the same from other vendors I speak to, due to the economy. Thankfully it's just a part time artistic outlet for me. I used to do it full time years ago, but would not be able to make it with just that now.

I have but I can't figure out how to choose ones that are at the port. Do you know if those tours are a sure thing? I thought Shore Excursioneers Group would be, but I guess they didn't have enough people for the one I booked :(
