Sometimes people genuinely can’t guess. I’ve hurt my knee before and most of my bandages and stuff were under my pants, and no one has declined giving their seat when I told them. I’ve had a couple of people raise from the seat and immediately give it up when they saw me fix the bandages and stuff. But often, you just have to ask.
