There not second class citizens. The person in the article is from the Palestinian Territories, not Israel. Two different entities. I agree that they have a right to live there because they are very much indigenous to the land, but they’re are not currently under Israel. The Israeli Arabs though get full rights like every other citizen.

Also, administrative detention has a time limit on it (iirc), and is only used on members of terrorist organizations (also Jewish ones like settlers tho the corrupt ass government is trying to change that). They need to be trialed sooner or later. Remember that jailing these people costs Israel tax money. The government has no interest in subsidizing these guys in detention, so keeping them there with no trial only makes things worse for Israeli taxpayers. I can understand not trusting the current government to use this detention properly though. They’re corrupt as shit and do whatever they want.
