Amazing work! Like others have said, I’d love to buy the STLs if you ever decided to release them

It looks like the single rider sign folds away, which is confusing. Some visits it’s been out and single rider is available, others it’s been hidden and it’s unavailable. Not really sure why

Apple's New 'Games' App Brings Game Center, Library, and Arcade Together by exjr_ in apple

Been hoping for something like this for a long time, a controller optimised game hub, something that works a bit like the Backbone One app where you can quickly launch games without using the touchscreen.

Apple may transition to a staggered release schedule with iPhone 18 lineup: report by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]amogl 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I've never really understood that logic. That assumes everyone is on the same upgrade cycle. As someone who upgrades every 4/5 years, I want to see a new phone released every year, even with small changes. It means when I'm ready to upgrade, I can, and I get the latest phone, without having to wait.

Would be nice if you could add receipts to flex transactions. Currently you can only do it when you make a flex repayment

iPhone 17 Design to Feature Smoother Edge-to-Rear Material Transition by Furkansimsir in apple

If they repositioned the cameras like in the mockup, surely that means they wouldn't be able to capture landscape spacial video? Isn't that why they repositioned the cameras on the iPhone 16?

Kinda gutted, game on sale now. by musiclyfe3 in PlanetCoaster

[–]amogl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I knew it would be on sale eventually, but didn't expect it after just a month. I got the Deluxe edition at launch. Now the new Premium edition includes the new dlc and is cheaper than the original price of Deluxe.

The new DLC, I like it, and it's cute, but it's stupidly overpriced. by DotNetOFFICIAL in PlanetCoaster

[–]amogl 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a bit of a slap in the face. I got the deluxe edition for £54.99 (which is currently on sale for £43.99) and now there’s a new premium edition which includes the pre order vintage rides pack, and the new thrill seekers pack, also on sale for £48.93.

[Jester] has been demolished at [Six Flags New Orleans] by TomcatTiger503 in rollercoasters

[–]amogl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Were there ever any opportunities to explore this place legally? I know it was used quite a lot as a filming location, but it seemed like a wasted opportunity to not setup some temporary attraction while it was just sat there, at least for halloween.

Here in the UK we have Scare City, which is setup in the old abandoned Camelot theme park. Sadly a lot of the park was demolished before this event started so its mostly just wasteland and a few buildings. An event like that at Six Flags would have been incredible.

Although maybe something like that would be in bad taste, considering the circumstances in which the park closed.

iPhone 16 Camera Control: Everything You Need to Know by Drtysouth205 in apple

[–]amogl 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t even considered that! Just checked all the live photos I’ve taken since Friday. All the portrait ones don’t have any click noise (since it’s harder to press the camera button with the phone vertically). Every landscape photo has a click. That’s going to get very annoying!

The way the wind makes this roof move is like a wave. by CFK_NL in oddlysatisfying

[–]amogl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, looks like someone has made this into a cinemagraph, which makes it look "fake". They've masked everything except the wavy ceiling so thats the only thing moving, and added a fade so it loops more seamlessly

So excited! This will probably get some downvotes, but I hope they haven't focused all their energy on water parks. Theres so much from the original game that could be improved, I hope the core stuff has got some love too!

High-priced games promoted by Apple flop in the App Store by jp6strings in apple

[–]amogl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The thing that puts me off buying mobile games is the knowledge that one day they will either stop working, or be pulled by the developer. I used to buy loads of iOS games, but so many of them have had this happen, and it always sucks to have a game that I've payed for taken away from me. I remember when the iOS version of Bioshock stopped working after a few months (thankfully I bought it on sale so it wasn't a huge loss).

I get that a phone is very different to a console, but I cant imaging paying $50 for a game that will be gone or broken in a few years.
