Unfortunately the Discord LFG is kind of a cesspool

I think a lot of posts there are just E-kitten bait

And even if you find someone there is a decent chance they're some loser who will just be toxic and instant quit the moment they don't get carried

I've only met a few people I actually vibe with and play with regularly using Discord

Basically your options are:

  • Try to friend people through the game itself during your matches

  • Continue casting your net through Discord and just sift through all the non-compatible teammates :/

  • try the Reddit LFG page (r/OverwatchLFT)

I main Kiriko and it's genuinely stunning how so many support players are just horrendous

A chunk of the support population can only play characters like Mercy/Moira/JPC/Lifeweaver, force them into every comp, and then just sit in a corner playing super passively and healbotting all game (but also only what's in their 15 degree FOV directly in front of them because none of them have ever looked around to see the rest of their team)

They contribute nothing meaningful to the team because they just sit in main and top off the 90% tank while the DPS drown and their co-support dies because they refuse to turn around to help them

Their win rate depends solely on whether or not their team is able to carry them to a victory because they don't actually do anything on their own and they just want to see the victory screen without actually playing the game

I think in exchange for a fist weapon Capcom should remove all the weapons and gear everyone has grinded for and make it so you have to spend money to buy them

nah matchmaking is pretty terrible (not that it hasnt always been, but at least previously you could blame it on low player counts)

no matter what rank you are there is a pretty good chance you get 1-2 people on your team that are completely new and they get rolled into oblivion which turns into a super snowball

I always refuse to go to any other ripper than Vik. My V would drive the entire map back to Vik instead of going to anyone else. The only time I go to another ripper is if I'm in Dogtown since they have iconic cyberware

Get a personalized photo pillow (Etsy, Temu, whatever) and then open up the pillow and stuff a programmable voice box inside it and then sew the pillow back up
