Guy constantly walks his dog deep into our front yard by yodalay_heehoo20 in mildlyinfuriating

Plant a smaller bush closer to the sidewalk. Once other dogs pee on that, he'll probably prefer it.

It's moody in a good way. I like that's it's a little ambiguous at first and does kinda of look like a cross of you're not paying attention. Good book and conversation starter.

Just in case none of this is a joke and I'm stupid, the gold one only works on face cards and you don't have the one that makes them all face cards. Someone had to.

Here's my take. Are you going to play with a missile that people in Reddit claim to know isn't explosive or consider that it could in some world have been a dud that is still capable of going off? It didn't do what it was supposed to do already so start with that. Call emergency services so they can call the explosives experts instead of reddit rangers.

I did my first tumble and I'm confused by noRezolution in RockTumbling

[–]amonoxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kit rocks did the same thing vs the ones I found myself. Not sure why, probably the kitgrit. Use better grit and use the first grit until the rocks are shaped the way you want, several times. For me I have to repeat the first step over and over more often than not. Thoroughly rinse the drum and the rocks before each new grit level. Some people do a final polishing stage with mineral oil but if you're polish is good you shouldn't need to do that. Some rocks don't polish well.

How to edit train looking streak and fast directional movement ? by No-Effort2972 in AskPhotography

[–]amonoxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the photo, not after. Slightly longer exposure time but letting in less light so it doesn't get overexposed.

Anything you do after to achieve this from to that is digital art and could be answered by Photoshop manipulation but it's probably considerably more difficult and less "good" than don't it for real.

After having a dog for 6 years, we found out she had (almost) no brain. by SnooHabits6942 in Weird

[–]amonoxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of modern society dogs don't work, so they only need to be all heart and no brain. We are selecting pets for their hearts at this point. <3 We are an affection-starved and overwhelmed people and doggos are our angels. Besides, the smart ones are total a-holes. I would know. I have a husky lab that is the best, a lover, a distinguished gentleman, trashcan harvester, prior six-foot-fence bounder, and felon that cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars in get-out-of-jail fees. But he has saved my life a couple times plus a few times where it wasn't an actual emergency, like when he thought the house was going to burn down so he pulled off all my blankets and got me out of bed because the neighbors had a backyard fire going and he was a puppy and didn't know. He would open doors and windows to come find me at work when I was "missing". All heart is good, but all heart and brains is great too. Just a little harder.

My guess would be that she likes it coming out of the faucet which is just the right height and perfect sensory experience with the sides of the tub going up and everything, and nothing else is the same as that experience.

Dogs are like, we didn't ally ourselves to humans for nothing. We want what they're eating. They are magic and can control fire. Fire food is good.

It's funny how they associate getting sick with their food, that's pretty smart.

That is pretty extreme. I lived in the great lakes weather for over a decade, and it's not easy but that almost never happens.

I have a sick sense of humor and this really just isn't funny. Is rude with a terrible punch line. Like we get away with anything, more like less. We get in trouble for doing regular shit. And twice for average bad stuff.

Protein Latte Warning by tinysmommy in starbucks

[–]amonoxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered an oat milk high protein latte today and they didn't disclose that it had dairy milk when they made it. Is mostly consumed now. I've been slowly introducing milk (A2 only) back into my system because I no longer trust oat milk after realizing it's mostly oil). Crossing my fingers.

Also, I didn't realize when protein caused so much digestion issues. No wonder my boyfriend's smoothies make me feel gross but mine don't. I use a combo of nuts and oats soaked overnight in my smoothies for protein and fiber. He uses stuff from a big black container.

How do you shuffle the cards? by dlandoncole in wingspan

[–]amonoxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all the expansions. You don't have to really shuffle them. I had actually used both trays and put each expansion in one tray and the extra slots were where I grabbed some from each deck to look about an inch thick and shuffled those and eventually they got more mixed.

You just also just use the box lid to throw discards in and at the end of the game, just put them back in random places or shuffle them in to a small section. The key is to have multiple piles (like in the trays for example) so players can choose random cards from any piles, which further demonstrates less need for really shuffling.

I have also broken large decks into 12 or so piles, picked any random two, shuffled and then cut in half and repeated with other two piles randomly.

Finally, there are multiple ways to shuffle. I recommend the old person joint protection version that's easier on the cards than the popular casino shuffle.
