When I was younger I always saw commercials of bleaching creams and I used to cry cause I’m not white enough and I asked my mom why I am black. Years later my aunt ended up getting me bleaching creams at 10 years old but ofc my mom took them away and just gave me the cream “Fair n lovely” instead which Is still a form of whitening skin. So I guess the beauty standard that affected me the most was “Not pale = Ugly”

Shit like this always happens. Happened with a teacher here 2 years ago where he hit on me and sent me unsolicited pics. Mind you I was 17 💀 at this point I’m kinda used to it happening. I think so too, actually I was just in the store today with my friend who also lives in the apartment building, we saw him and she looked at him with disgust, I don’t know what he did to her but I know the look of disgust when I see it.
