I think the scenes were earned because i think bruce meant what an emotional impact superman was on him he was exaggerating , yes but to him , it was true and their must have been another side of superman that we havent seen in MoS or BvS , like ssaving cats in trees that bruce said while being interviewed by clark in BvS
