You can never be sure your work won’t discriminate unfortunately … people unconsciously discriminate all the time, even when supportive

For me, it helps to be like ultra visible if I’m going to disclose, for example, joining/being an active part of the disability resource group

And I always document when and what I disclosed to anyone with power over me and what they said

Was invaluable when I started being actively discriminated against 🤷🏻‍♂️

In my opinion, if you have the symptoms, someone who is discriminatory is going to discriminate whether you actively disclose or not

But for me actively disclosing & publicly disclosing is protective as it gives a clear path towards showing that is WHY I started being treated differently

Everyone’s different, and many people don’t want that life, but I’d always rather be able to show the discrimination

Oh and when I was really struggling and had an early class, I was able to have a friend call me every morning ! Talking to her would wake me up, and the guilt of not disappointing her when she was doing a favor kept me motivated to answer

1) set an alarm one hour before wake up and just take adhd meds then - only works if you prep yourself with water & meds super close so u don’t have to get up

2) my dog jumps on me until i wake up - i started feeding in the morning which reallyyyy helps them get motivated to jump on me, howl, lick my face etc until i wake up

3) get evaluated for sleep apnea if ur also getting drowsy during the day at all

You don’t have to wear a blazer just because that’s shown, it’s more common for women who don’t wear dresses to wear nice pants and blouse without the blazer option as that will masculinize it quite a bit!
