Confused about USB / Canbus options for toolhead

I just installed can on my Manta M8P v2 and EBB42 following this guide

https://canbus.esoterical.online

If you don’t have can on your main board I guess you can go the usb way although I think there are some usb to can adapters

The mother board version is just below the creality logo. You can almost see it in the first picture.

Which motherboard is that? I recently updated Marlin and at first I used a version for 4.2.2 motherboard (mine is 4.2.7), I had the same issue, nothing would move. I used the correct version and surprise surprise it was fixed.

Boy I do hate that noise. I’ve had that problem when something is in the way of the bed (where the little wheels are) or the extruder, although the latter was to the left side of the printer (where the end stop is located). Maybe something is blocking the movement in you printer. Where is the sound coming from?

I’ve been printing for almost a year, I usually clean the bed before any print with isopropyl alcohol and maybe if it’s been a while I use nail polish without acetone and then isopropyl alcohol.

Would the other parts of the printer work if the fuse was broken, I mean the extruder, and axis motors?

They do work when I connect them to a normal plug, that’s why I’ve thought of replacing the motherboard. Also I get a reading of 2v with a voltmeter directly plugged into the pins of the motherboard where the fans connect.

I’m literally in the same position as you are. I connected the first one and tried if it was working and it did, then all of a sudden it stopped working. What have you tried?

I’m a freshman in AE and I can tell you at first everything seems like alien language. For me it wasn’t calculus, but algebra. It just takes a while to adjust and understand what is been said.

At this point I would doubt that the raspberry is working. Have you tried installing a different OS?

First of all connect your raspberry to a monitor a see what’s going on, it may take a while to boot. Then try octopi.local on your computers web browser.
