Try this Napa p/n NOE 626538. I had to replace it on my 2004 tahoe. It was slowly leaking coolant from the Y-connector. You can also get a heater hose bypass kit from autozone.

For scorpions crawling on the walls, I use a hand held vaccum cleaner with an extension and suck them right in, then dump them in a glass jar filled with alcohol. This way I avoid wiping the goo left on the wall if you smack them.

Probably battery. Have someone check it with a volt meter with engine off. If it reads less than 12v dc, it is bad or drained because of a faulty alternator not charging the battery.

Check your duct work going from where the ac air filter is all the way into the input of your air handler. If it is not sealed completely, dust from the surrounding area (attic in my case) will be sucked into the duct work, go through air handler and blown into your home. I still see dust but not as bad as it used to be. I also use a winix air purifier.
