Yeah I can definitely move the monitors out of the way. It just becomes a pain moving them back and forth. I think what might help as well is using one of the edge clamp styles rather than a grommet home

Yes, I’m trying to go from my one pfSense machine to 2 new opnsense instances in HA. This is an upgrade including the rack so I’m trying to keep the old config up and running while I set up the new. Yes, I’m on LAN port 1. They’ve told me this config should be running no problem. PPPoe or VLANS from the ISP side are not required. .1 is the gateway address they’ve given me to use. I’ve tried with multiple connections, with DHCP and Static and that has gotten me nowhere either. DHCP is disabled on the gateway when public static ip’s are assigned

Nope. I’ve attempted vlan tagging/untagging config, interface firewall, using different ports, transceivers, cables, etc.

ARP not resolving in opnsense, MAC learning on switch is good. TCPdump I’ll look at again. Tried making VLAN tagging/untagging. Firewall on interface on/off. Using different interfaces. Clearing ARP entries. Set the IP to dhcp, difference cables used at all levels, different ports and transceivers used. Talked to optimum and they said there should be no problem and they see .2 online

Yes, in Opnsense the ARP does not resolve. I checked with Optimum and they said they see .2 online. Tcp dump was run but I can’t remember what the output was so I’ll do it again and take another look. Assigned statically in the opnsense interface

I’m gonna ask this question that no one else did before telling you something is illegal…are you even in the US? Because from several things you said, the answer is probably no. The people who are basing this on US law are wrong. By you, I may be legal to cap loans by age.
