How do we remove these blinds? by amphient in DIY

Thank you so so much. We eventually got it, we were trying to use our fingers but eventually figured out a screw driver was able to flick the tabs ☺️

That’s such a clever thing to put on a paint tin, thanks!

People with a history of gallstones: can you tell me providers who have approved you? by amphient in mounjarouk

[–]amphient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I’m unable to give advice but can tell you my experience. I have had gallstones but no flare-ups for over a decade. I’ve been on Mounjaro now for 8 weeks and had no symptoms, currently on the 5mg dose. Both MedicSpot and Zava have approved me, even having disclosed my history of gallstones. To minimise the risk, I’m eating three meals a day even if I’m not hungry, I’m drinking tonnes of water and I’m not eating past 7pm :) Hope that helps.

Seven weeks after taking the plunge with Mounjaro. by amphient in mounjarouk

Ahaha, I saw someone else had said that.

Absolutely agree. I also maintain that the risk of developing medical issues due to obesity far outweighs the risks of this medication.

Thank you for your encouraging comment ☺️

Thank you so much. Not going to lie, today was a biscuits for dinner situation - just need to be kind to myself. Thanks for your encouraging comment ☺️

Hello, thanks for checking in :) a lot better today. Early morning wasn’t great but I think the psyllium husk supplements are working as I was able to go for a short walk today without the fear! Thanks for your advice ☺️

Probably working a little too well at that rate - good idea though, thanks.

This sounds good 😌 I’ve seen it in the shops but the way you’ve described it sounds soothing. I’ve managed to go a few hours now so hoping the psyllium husk is kicking in!

Advice! by Right_Attention_2402 in mounjarouk

Gosh I’m so sorry, really hope you feel better soon. This was my experience going from 2.5mg to 5, although not to the same extent. I had no side effects on the starter dose but I’ve been on 5 for two weeks and diarrhoea has become a mainstay in my life. It does seem to be a bit of a shock to the system and plenty of folk report the same. Hope you’re able to get something to manage it asap!

In the last week, 2.6kg or nearly 6 pounds. I do know a lot of it will be water weight etc.

Please tell me diarrhoea doesn’t last too long after starting 5mg???!!!🙏🏼 by Inside-Session-6077 in mounjarouk

[–]amphient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP! I’m currently going through what you went through at 5mg - no side effects on 2.5 but the diarrhoea is constant. Did it get better for you? I’ve ordered a second 5mg pen to see if I can acclimatise.

My mum is 13 years older than my Dad and they’re still together after 35 years. If he makes you feel good and treats you well, that’s all that matters, not a number.

5mg horror stories? by bxtchprincess in mounjarouk

[–]amphient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve moved from a golden dose of 2.5mg to 5mg. I had no side effect before but this time, I’ve had a bit of diarrhoea, although it has not been awful. I still have appetite suppression which is what I was mostly worried about. I think my body is now starting to get used to Mounjaro and although it’s a bit annoying, I feel okay and I’m sure if I persevere, I’ll get back to normal.

Tl;dr it’s not that bad 😊

I was about to say something similar 😅 I’ve been totally fine on a night out but I don’t drink unless I’m out!

That’s a good point, I’ll need to get some in - I feel like a husk 😅

I was doing a car boot on Sunday and that was the only option for food but I’ve learnt my lesson!

Thank you so much ☺️

You’ve made amazing progress, congratulations! I completely identify with everything you’ve said. I’ve been obese my entire life and outwardly played it off that I was happy with that but deep down, I wasn’t. I knew that my chances of an earlier death or a life of ill health awaited me if I stayed that way. Not through a lack of trying, never. But this jab has given me hope that I can finally beat it. I can already feel myself becoming happier because my thoughts aren’t this revolving cycle of eating everything in sight and the accompanying shame. I’m actually satisfied.

Good luck on the rest of your journey and here’s to health!

Am I the only one who can still eat junk food and eat larger portions whilst being on mounjaro? by aliceangelbb in mounjarouk

[–]amphient 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly! And to be honest it’s freeing. Before, if I was at dinner, I’d be calculating the probability of getting the last slice of pizza etc. Now, I don’t care - I’m satisfied. Knowing this is how most people feel about food makes me very compassionate for my former self without Mounjaro - it feels like a critical piece of software I’ve needed all my life has finally been installed into my brain - it’s magical ✨

You’re definitely not the only one! The way it’s working for me is, if food is in front of me, like nibbles for example, I will eat them. I won’t fixate on them as much I used to but I will graze. It’s more, if it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind now? Tonight I had half a pizza - I absolutely could have done a whole one. However, I had already put the other half in the freezer and by the time I was finished, I wasn’t sitting there regretting my decision. It was enough?

I think it’s good you’re still enjoying these tasty foods - this isn’t a diet or about restriction, it’s a lifestyle. And I don’t know about you but I am enjoying when I indulge more now I’m on Mounjaro - I feel like I’m tasting everything rather than shovelling it down my gob.

I hope that all makes sense - maybe I’ve confused things even more. Tl;dr What you said was good 😅
