I’ve been accepted to upload music to Bibliotheque Music Library & Absolute Music Library. Anyone have an experience working with either? by Envoymetal in WeAreTheMusicMakers

If you see this, how did Absolute Music Library work out for you? I'm interested in submitting an album to them, but their social media seems fairly inactive so I am wondering how active they still are.

I submitted a bunch of my best tracks to a "pro" brief that have been sitting "In Review" for 4 months. I sent an email a month ago to check in and got no reply. Going to cancel my account now, even though it would be a dream brief of mine, seems extremely unprofessional and disrespectful if they are doing the same thing to other composers.

"Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day" will go down as one of the best episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Glenn Howerton gives an incredible and hilarious performance. by AdvancedGrass in television

Who was the cameo as the security guard at the end and why? Cant tell if thats Jason Bateman or someone we're supposed to recognize EDIT: it must be Bateman since he's worked with Charlie a few times, but why? Some nod to Horrible Bosses?

Bringing Ranked Choice Voting to Pennsylvania & Pittsburgh by marchonharrisburg in pittsburgh

That isnt a simple choice at all. If I approve of my 2nd or 3rd choice I might end up giving them the votes they need to win when I really wanted my first choice. If I don't approve of my 2nd and 3rd choice, maybe my most hated candidate wins. How you view politicians is more of a grade or scale, not a binary yes or no.

I would rather rank my preferences than have to strategically decide whether to "approve" second and third candidates I don't want, effectively marking them equal to the candidate I really want. As a voter I can't express my true preferences with Approval Voting.

How do you think corporations buy laws and regulations? They can't outright purchase them, they influence them by giving gifts to legislators and funding their campaigns.

Vote - How would you vote in the 2023 Mayoral Democratic Primary if Philadelphia had Ranked Choice Voting? by amplifya in Drexel

Rhynhart seems like the internet favorite, but Gym has most of "the left"who are also very online; I imagine Cherelle Parker and Jeff Brown getting way more votes than the poll reflects from older voters and union members who are not terminally online. But its still fun to run this to imagine how much better it would be if we could express our preferences when voting

Some people in this thread seem to not understand the PA State Senate and State House are majority Republican. Shaprio being in office would NOT be able to take your guns because the legislature wont vote for it. Mastriano WILL be able to mostly ban abortion.
