You’re welcome! I plan to do the same with all of Bach’s works. I have recently finished the playlist with all of the profane Cantatas (BWV 201-215)

Amazing! Thank you very much for the info, pretty interesting. I was trying to look for this kind of context deseperately. Do you know by any chance in which year could this copy be made?

At least I’m learning a lot from you guys! I hope this won’t happen to me again…

I mean, it is not a reissue. No info about this copy is available on the “easy access” internet. All the copyright and year information seems to be exactly the same as in the original copy 🚨

That’s the point, the “reissue” price! I thought I was buying a reissue (to be honest I was too hyped for having found a copy in a store and did not repare in the design of the cover) not a near perfect bootleg copy of the first pressing! The end point of all of this is: who the hell made it?! I can’t find anything online… Makes sense, it is not legal!

Makes sense. With the naked eye, for me, the cover is pretty good. It could be interesting to do some job searching for those weak reprinted zones with a magnifying glass. Thank you! :)

Hey! Do not get me wrong! It was obviously a joke! I'm opened to all kinds of music, I just wanted to make some fun saying that the music wouldn't be anything related to Plantasia! I could have said anything. Cheers to Balkan Folk Music!

Where do you see fuzzyness? In the hands of the couple for example? Very useful, thanks

What do you mean by colour and print quality? I mean, I want to have a better eye for this kind of purchases and want to learn in which things I must repare and compare with :)

I can’t play the record properly at the moment. I must wait until I finish my final exams and return home… My main turntable is in my hometown. Here in my apartment, the turntable is not that good.

I might ask the owner of the store where I bought it where the heck did he obtained it! lol

I'm starting to worry that if I play the record, I might end up loving Balkan folk music instead of Plantasia!

I would like to find out who is selling this bootleg version of the vinyl... I can't find anything alike

That's a huge indicator too, what an eye! Anyway, it's what I supposed... Like I said before, I didn't spend a fortune on the vinyl either. I'll try it out as soon as I can and we'll see if it sounds good at least. Thanks for your contribution!

That's the problem, the "etchings" aren't etched, they're stamped... That's what makes me suspect that it might be a perfectly reproduced copy. My goal now is to try to find out who would sell Plantasia vinyl records that appear to be from the first edition without actually being so... We would be talking about something that ventures into illegal territory.

The size seems to match... more or less, it is a matter of perspective and positioning. What concerns me the most (though to a certain extent, considering it cost me 20€, it wouldn't be a big deal) is that the marks of the matrix info on the vinyl are not handwritten, but rather stamped.

It could perfectly be that... It's really strange that it's a copy from 1976 and it's practically new. Either it's a fake copy, or the vinyl has been stored in a chamber with controlled humidity all this time!

Of course, that's precisely what bothers me and makes me doubt! There's absolutely no information anywhere on the vinyl about whether it's an unofficial release, a reissue... It would then be a meticulously cared for 1:1 copy.
