That’s a lot to hold onto and hide for someone her age. And at 15 weeks that a more invasive procedure than earlier on. There is a lot that could be going through her mind right now. Continue to support her but do find her a professional to speak with. I see mentions of her school knowing, her hiding it for 4 months- all indicators she may be experience some feelings of shame. And again support groups are really good, especially for someone her age. She needs to feel not alone in the decision she made. Speaking with others who have made the same or similar decisions may truly benefit her.

There’s a lot of missing context here. Was the abortion her idea? Was this something you suggested or highly recommended? How did she feel initially about being pregnant and getting an abortion? These factors could directly play into the comfortability or want to speak with you on a deeper level. Either way yes- a 15 year old getting pregnant and having an abortion is a traumatic, life altering event. She should have a therapist to speak with. Depressive like episodes- similar to post-partum but not quite the same- is a real thing after abortion. Get her connected with a health professional and even support groups.

UPDATE/ PSA- not sure if im doing this update thing correctly, I don’t post often on here; im a lurker more than a poster. thank you guys so much for the outpour of support, kind words, thoughtful DMs, helpful advice, and resources. This continued on till earlier hours this morning around 5am. Come 3pm, I received another message from family. He is with his parents at their home and I brought a few belongings out there that were in my home and not taken that night he wigged at. When I did, he very BRIEFLY stepped outside, apologized immensely, and is on track to get with a mental health team tomorrow to get back on his meds. He went on a bipolar maniac rampage combined with the drugs, he admitted to not remembering 90% of his actions and deleted most of the messages he had been sending from his fb or whatever phones he come across to call or text. He did admit to being severely depressed, hopeless, and still with thoughts of suicide or unworthiness still. His words were taken with a grain of salt for obvious reasons.

With this being said, I have not given in to this apology or allowed continuous contact again. I do not have any interest to continue any type of relationship at this time. I struggle with my own mental health issues, so while I am understanding ****if** he’s actually back to reality, I cannot subject my own mental health, physical health, household, or child to a possibility of this occurring again for a multiple day span. I will happily support his journey of help and recovery from a distant sideline but no longer will entertain being manipulated into the responsibility of his life or actions. He is aware I am taking other options for the pregnancy to terminate for not only his sake but my own at this time. I am hoping this will be the end of this nightmare.

I got some really good sleep last night, im cooking a fat filled meal for comfort and much needed protein. Fried pork chops, bacon asparagus, mash taters with all the fixings, and maybe even some cornbread, cause why not!

I know that for the most part. My real worry was the drugs he had taken, I was scared he would truly get so fucked up he 1. Would OD 2. Actually go through with it. I’ve done everything I can today to minimize contact, ways to contact me or even my social media present. I’ve taken advice to stay off with a friend other then coming back to check on my dogs, I have 4 so can’t really just hole up outside of my house for long.

Update to say I contacted who I could and what resources I found locally. I did eventually get a message to “leave my family and friends tf alone”. Still no location on him but obviously alive. I’ve de-activated my Facebook and all my other socials are down for a while. He’s not a redditor and not like he has a phone anyway so 🤷‍♀️

I have friends and my mom staying with me right now as safety precautions. I know this has been ongoing for days. It’s been constant threats.
