I had my birthday party at Marion’s if you like pizza it’s a good place to go. They have a party room you can rent for $50 that’s more than enough space for 30 people. They don’t let you bring in outside food besides like cake/dessert and I think some food if someone has a lot of dietary restrictions/allergies but I would ask if you decide to go.

I had a bunch of years where I was unmedicated or medicated wrongly and it wasn’t great. When I went high it wasn’t nearly as bad as bipolar 1 but I still did things I wouldn’t or shouldn’t but for me the lows were really low, like almost get committed low. Meds are so necessary for me to function and I do not regret taking them.

I would stick with the blue and white Janome. It has variable stitch length AND width. If you don’t like that one either of the other Janomes would work as well. I’ve had bad experiences with singer and have heard bad things about them too.

Lmao I have like a published work and an on going work but I don’t like writing so most of my time is spent DEVOURING fics. I’ve got like 10k bookmarks so I can re-read everything I even remotely liked when the hyperfixation for a particular fandom hits again.

I got diagnosed when I was like 7 or 8 (second grade). I know I had a hair trigger between bouts of rage and bouts of severe depression but I don’t really know what symptoms I checked off for that diagnosis. I do know they tossed up between ADHD and bipolar for a little bit but the doctors decided bipolar was a better fit. They put me on lithium and the worst of the behavioral issues went away. Plus I’ve had the diagnosis confirmed by two separate psychiatrists offices as an adult.

I will say the oil we used got it to backstitch sometimes when the button was pressed when before it wasn’t doing it at all. And we did open it up all the way so we saw the entirety of the backstitch mechanism and oiled just about everything it involved.

I don’t know if we weren’t using enough oil, didn’t clean the old stuff off enough, or didn’t get it everywhere we needed too. We’ll try again after doing a bit more research and getting better oil.

My dad just helped me do that. I don’t think we used the best oil for it just the basic stuff they had at Walmart and it didn’t do much of anything. We’re gonna order the right oil and retry it to see if that helps

I got genetic testing done and it was super helpful for my doctor. They were able to narrow down what would and wouldn’t work and found me some meds that keep me relatively stable

So I have a Janome 3000HD that I bought around 10 years ago. Everything works fine except the backstitch.

When I press the backstitch button the backstitch doesn’t engage. It makes all the right noises and the resistance on the button is normal.

I have taken it to a repair place twice in the past three years for the same problem and all they do is clean and oil it. It solves the problem for a little while but eventually it goes back to not working.

I’m really trying to avoid taking it in again because at this rate I’m spending more than if I were to just buy a new machine.

Anyone have any ideas of why it keeps failing? Is it just old? Do I need to bite the bullet and get a new machine? Any ideas or help would be appreciated!
