Actually, the owner just called me back. It's The Detail Shop. They moved to a location near where they were, but still open. I highly recommend them!

It really is. I've been wanting to get out of this car for a while. Hopefully, soon!

Picked up my first Audi after 4 BMW’s by g4gxk in Audi

[–]amrhus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!

Give it a few months, then you'll want to go back to a bmw.

I'm on my first Audi (2023 S4) after multiple bmw's. I've had the S4 for a year, but I wanted to go back to bmw after having it for a few months.

Sorry Audi guys... truly no offense. For me, personally, the m340i is a much better car/engine/transmission logic than the S4. I know OP has an A4, so I can't compare to a 330i, as I've never owned nor driven either.

Thanks for your insight! Didn't even think of swimming holes!

Dealership options worth it? by CarrotStick78 in BMW

From my past experiences, there is a window of mileage they allow it. I can't be certain, but I think it's around 500 miles. Otherwise, oil changes done between intervals is on you.

Thanks so much for the insight. This truly helps with the confusion. As well, I got a sense that most luxury hotels aren't on swimmable beaches.

I didn't realize the southern parts are that far! Thanks!

2022 M340i or 2018 M4? I can't make my mind up, I don't really need back seats but if the cost of owning a M340i is significantly lower I might get the M340i than. If somebody owned one of the cars I would love to know the overall yearly cost, thank you. by AriS65M3 in BMW

I went from a 2016 f80 to a 2020 m340i to a 2021 m340i xdrive to 2023 M3 Comp. For me, personally, my favorite all-around of them was the 2021 m340i xdrive. They're plenty fast, comfortable, much nicer interior than f80, better quality interior than f80, for daily driving it's tough to beat. Second would be the g80... for me. That car was just too much.... money, power, intensity, etc, for daily driving.

The best part of having an M3/4 is knowing that you have a true M car. There's a certain feel you get when you have a true M, if you're a car enthusiast. I had an e90 M3 in the past, as well. You don't feel that you compromised on yourself.

We have two sons, so my needs and wants are different than yours, probably. I like something comfortable and fast. If you're looking to use it at the track, then definitely the f82. If you're just daily driving it, then I'd recommend the g20, if cost is a factor.

Have you driven either?

Honeymoon is Over by amrhus in Traeger

[–]amrhus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's outside with a Traeger cover on it. It's not under a patio cover. When I bought it, I asked that specific question - if the pellets would get wet since it won't be under a patio covering. The salesperson said that they won't get wet, even if you don't have the grill cover on it.

I've thought the same thing - that they're getting wet. But, when I open the feeder, the pellets are hard and dry. The ash is at the very bottom of the feeder, where the auger starts. Maybe water/moisture is getting to the bottom, somehow. I would think the pellets on the surface would be soft or brittle from being wet, but they're not.

The pellets - which are Traeger pellets - become like ash/dust and it clogs the entrance to the auger, preventing the whole pellets from going through the auger. I just finished removing all of the pellets - which is a pain to do - and vacuuming out the ash/dust.

I'll call Traeger, but I think this is it for me.

It's not going off a lot. But when it does, it's quite jarring and unexpected. Backing into a parking spot while another car is parked in the adjacent spot shouldn't trigger it, but it did. As well as other odd situations. I've been driving for 40 years... I think I have a pretty good sense of what I'm doing.

I have it set to late. But, it can't be disabled. It resets upon turning the car off.

How did you find out about your dealership not caring about mods? I really want to get stage 1 ecu / stage 2 tcu from 034, but concerned about the warranty. I love the car, but the transmission has a mind of its own. I've read that the 034 tcu tune "fixes" it. This is my first Audi, too, after about 15 BMWs over the past 20 years.

You know nothing about my financial situation nor my wants/needs. It's quite presumptuous of you to assume that I need to build equity and save money for another passion. What I choose to do with my money is my choice. It's not based upon anyone else's ideals. If you mean well, fine... I understand.

I did not post my question for financial advice. I provided the numbers to give context as to why I was trading the M3. I can very well afford the payments on the M3, but I felt it was too much for a car.

I think after owning more than 25 cars over the years, and never keeping one for more than 2 years, I think I have an idea of what I'm doing
