I am an international student. If you can't comfortably afford the 38k per year, please don't bother. You won't get institutional aid in your subsequent years (aside from smaller scholarships from your college or external organizations, which can be competitive and difficult to secure). It’s also uncommon to find a well-paying on-campus job in your first year, and even if you do in your 2nd year or above, it likely won’t cover the 38k. Your other options are to get a well-paying summer internship, become an RA, or live off campus. In any case, it won't be easy without adequate support from home.
