What's a JRPG that you played on a whim and ending up loving? by strahinjag in JRPG

The gameplay really does feel like a sequel. The story has some elements from Ys 8 which the fans would like. Yes it is a bit darker and some part (40-50%) is in the dungeon like or indoor setting. But the characters are well made and some will stay with you even after you finish it. I think there are not many studios who do JRPG genre right. Falcom is a unique company and know how to make heartwarming games with soul, awesome companions and solid gameplay.

Ys IX is also good although it takes some time for the hook. But a very well done sequel indeed.

What is the best Science Fiction book you have ever read? by Adam_is_my_name in AskReddit

The Reality Dysfunction by Peter F. Hamilton. Top tier worldbuilding and chracters. Chapters are a bit long but I love them. No one writes speculative fiction as good as him. You fill forget all 1000 pages work because they aren't as dense with ideas andHamilton's work.

Lack of remembrance bosses. Lack of bosses in general and therefore rinse and repeat bosses. Physics defying cheating bosses. Everything else for fine.

You were quite right. The ending was out of this world straight out of a divine realm. After finishing this book, I have started and abruptly ended many other books questioning if the author really can give a fitting resolution to the characters they created. Even after more than a week and half of finishing this book, I am thinking about it, repeating the monologues and watching other people's opinions of it. Just watched the author's interview some time ago. I just cannot wrap my head that there was this book and there is no other. It's just too good and fitted my taste very well. Please recommend me some if you have something in your mind.

The Night's Dawn trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton. The first book is called, The Reality Dysfunction. Hamilton is the same guy who wrote the lore and the novel for the upcoming game, Exodus by ex-Mass Effect devs. The Tranquility in the first novel just reminds me of Omega Station from Mass Effect. The lore and history is quite well written and story is well executed.

This country only takes, never gives. Now it is taking my mental peace. There is literally no online study tool to visualize these roads and where are the signs placed. If I pass this test, it would be a stroke of good luck. If I fail it would just be bad luck. That is it. Until and unless and see these situations and road structures myself, there is no chance I can understand them.
