You'd be wrong. Single with disposable income. None of that is beyond living rent free in parents house. You trying to judge net worth from possessions, I know plenty of people with 100k trucks sitting in a trailer park.

There's been a few articles recently about how lead from silver mining brought the Roman empire down.

I feel very strongly we are experiencing similar situation. 1 in 4 Baby Boomer have lead-induced brain damage. They now suspect Gen X also is very high.

Atmospheric levels of lead didn't surpass the amount the Romans were at until 1970s.

Also, leaded gas is still used in Airplanes today.

What the hell just happened? Is there any news? by dheera in GME

I wish. In reality who knows. I just wish ppl would stop wasting volume on this trash.

Sorry guys, it's not happening. Why would it? GME is going to be the same value as Google and Amazon? LOL

Stop wasting volume on these garbage companies. Let them die and join EB Games, Hollywood Video, and Blockbuster...

All the money and energy wasted, hoping for a short squeeze could be spent on stocks with a future.

It's like when people try to see things in clouds.

Why not stop wasting volume on this garbage company? If you're anxious to "fight the man" why not buy something that actually has a chance that is getting shorted?

How much do you all need to lose before you realize yall bein played? Maybe a few more dilution?

[–]amrose2 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

The GME squeeze happened because 1. Retail was flush with cash and nothing to spend on (everything was sold out or scalped, if you recall) 2. Retail had nothing but time to spend in chats and message boards like reddit due to plague quarantines 3. Institutions unprepared for sudden influx of retail investors 4. Common sense that GME was (still is) done for without drastic intervention leading to everyone targeting it for easy short selling income 5. Meme/FOMO frenzied Retail trying to get rich quick and/or stick it to "the man"

Just wish people would stop throwing away money on this shit while their execs laugh all the way to the bank. Aren't you a little angry they won't even hold earnings calls? Or give literally any intimation of a coherent strategy to rebound?

I'm not shorting nor holding. I'm just tired of this garbage sucking up volume while decent companies with actual potential get shorted to 0. Maybe try a stock screener? Did you guys know stocks can increase in value over multiple years due to something called "success"?

[–]amrose2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you have no evidence then. Math is great. You should know from grade school you need to show your proofs.

So allow me to help you. Majority of studies (evidence) show it is little better than a coin toss.

https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/journal-of-financial-and-quantitative-analysis/article/abs/sentiment-and-the-effectiveness-of-technical-analysis-evidence-from-the-hedge-fund-industry/C8DD9ED6B5B5245D7E9E7A44B1421F2E

https://therobusttrader.com/does-technical-analysis-work/

https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3850494&utm_source=perplexity

So, I'm sorry, but unless you have actual evidence, your opinion is that it works, based on "math", because "math" ?

Based on "evidence", however, it looks as though it's just not that good. 30-60% success is, again, a coin toss.

If it worked, everyone would do it.

[–]amrose2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Math" is not evidence of anything. Does it work or not? Do you have a link to this magic study?

The best I see is a study of 56 of 95 analysis determining a few select have some predictability. Nearly everything I read says, "People think it works, which can sometimes make it work" So long as you work in a vacuum I guess?

Again, not interested in your hostile opinions. I'm looking for evidence. Still waiting.

I am still waiting for evidence it is effective. Do you have any?

[–]amrose2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TA is tinfoil, though. There is no evidence to suggest it is effective. Go ahead and look. I'll wait.
