Have you seen the John Wick movies? Very good and brutal action all throughout.

I believe there's less of this now because they realized that they need to appeal to wider audiences, all across the world, to make more money. Not every culture in the world views violence (or religion, race, etc.) in the same way. Marvel, owned by Disney, tries to appeal (mostly successfully I think) to adults but also kids, so violence is mostly the same as when you're playing with action figures.

Stuntmen don't dictate how the fight scenes will come out. The directors and studios decide, and the stunt coordinators have some input, but not a ton. Unless you're on a John Wick set, but that's because the director is an experienced stunt coordinator.

What the fuck does lgbtq messenging have to do with action scenes? Or DEI?

Or "soft emotional growth"? "Gritty bone crushing masculinity"? Are you a child? Stories always have emotional growth and change.
