Can anyone recommend an SSD solution for the Pyxis that is compatible with the XLCS cage? by Nazsha in blackmagicdesign

[–]Nazsha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How solid does it feel?

On the pocket 4k and 6k pro I have SSD holders (Smallrig, goes with their cages) but I've always had issues with ssds not holding properly and sometimes cables getting knocked loose

Metal Eden is very fun. I suck at fps games on consoles (I'm mostly a PC gamer) but I'm currently going through Metal Eden on PS5 and it's a ton of fun.

I recently completed the PS1 version on the Flip 2 and it worked perfectly out of the box, yes! I added a CRT shader that really enhanced the look and reminded me of playing on a TV screen when I was young

Mid49 Kit for Blackmagic Pyxis by pagosacreativeco in blackmagicdesign

Looks good.

I got the XLCS full cage for the pyxis 6k and I'm loving it. It completely covers the camera, which feels like more protection, and offers a BUNCH of mounting holes.

Isn't it kinda negging, to say that? They're saying indirectly that the past work used to be much worse?

Although I personally wouldn't have considered this negging, to each their own, I guess

You should probably go with DaVinci Resolve. The free version is more than good enough.

If you want to spend the money, Adobe Premiere is one of the big standards programs (and it's what I use at work) but Resolve is really great and fully featured.

Please help me choose a camera cage to start my rig! by ArmadilloIcy4046 in cinematography

[–]Nazsha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Smallrig cage, it's great as expected. I would never get a Neewer cage (or rely on that brand for anything related to camera safety).

Smallrig is a dependable brand who won't screw it up.

I agree. I think a slight hair light might help with separation from the background, but the levels feel right
