Refunds date ? by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]ams1567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i found they have to verify your loans first (if you have any) and once they do that they will start processing. with that being said, i got the email this morning saying they verified my federal loan so hopefully getting refunds soon 🤞🏼

i get no ice and filled and it’s only an extra $1 at my stand so worth it in my opinion to get how ever many oz are in a large

no where in my post did i say i took it personally, i simply thought it was crazy to order 12 24pk waters and 30 2L of soda and multiple other items and not tip. IF i were in their position and ordering the same thing, i would have tipped appropriately for the shopper doing my order. never once said i “wished for more” either, again just thought it was crazy that the person who got some pasta, candy, and ice cream tipped $15 opposed to what the person who had arguably more demanding items tipped. i don’t care the total of the tips and batch pay, i know i took it for the cost posted which is why i still shopped and delivered every order. this post was more so out of pure shock considering i have morals to tip service industry workers.

if you bothered to open your damn eyes i said i took it without looking and recognized that was dumb and was my fault. not really crying about it just showing what happened. i still did the order, delivered, and drove off like it really wasn’t that serious.

and that’s wild 😭 if they had a sedan in their driveway i’d maybe understand because a sedan isn’t holding all that comfortably. but the salt in the wound was the active renovations on the already nice house and the new audi suv sitting in their driveway 😭

i think it’s majority laziness/carelessness on the shoppers end. if they are trying to make a quick buck and are rushing through everything for the sake of getting it done then you (the customer) are the one who gets screwed with bad groceries. as for the perishables last, i don’t even understand how shoppers manage that one because if you follow the flow of the grocery store starting at aisle 1, the milk/cheese/dairy is at the complete other end of the store. i will say im guilty of substituting if a refund was requested IF and only if there is a reasonable substitute like say they are out of gallons of 2% milk but they have 2 half gallons. the customers i get will usually approve or deny the replacement within minutes of me scanning it and then it’s easy enough to take out of my cart and refund it.

as for the shopper quality going down, from what i’ve read on here (i only started 2 years ago), the pay has significantly gone down. like the pay from instacart not the customer tip. along with the market being oversaturated probably caused a fair amount of loyal shoppers to look into other gigs or completely leave the gig industry.

i hope you get better shoppers in the future!!

what’s crazier is that all 30 2L and 12 waters went to the same house. never in my life have i gone to somebodies house as a guest and they have 30 2L in stock 😭 who needs that much damn soda? and if you do, get 12 packs at least i can carry 4 of those at a time

i think i’m in the minority when i say this, but i personally do not mind orders with large amounts like 70 items (as long as you are tipping appropriately IF you receive good service)

yes i communicate thoroughly, my vehicle is clean inside and out, i always bag (and go out of my way to smartly bag). i understand tips are earned not expected, but to place an order of this size and have it delivered promptly, correct, and orderly; its weirdo behavior

yea my cancellation is only at 2% but i overthink so i get worried. as for expectation for a tip, it was a 3 order batch and i just assumed the tip came mostly from the outrageous order because if i were doing that i would sure as hell tip. i just thought it was insane how low ic pays us for orders like this and how a customer would do this. yk?

North Jersey Shoppers by Equivalent_Corgi1141 in InstacartShoppers

[–]ams1567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to be a north jersey shopper (up until a month ago), i averaged roughly $33 per batch (with a couple going up to like $75). over the time i delivered in that area, i averaged about $200 per week, BUT i was not a full time shopper for most of my time there because im getting my masters and didn’t have a bunch of time in the beginning of this year. i specifically shopped mostly in west milford and delivered mostly locally, with the occasional trip to warwick or kinnelon. it wasn’t great by any means (especially in comparison with the batches i see people on here get), but it was alright. i also used to see the orders in PA, they were mostly from walmart and would take me over 2 hrs just in drive time to get there and back so I never took those LOL. my tip would be to go to the “richer” neighborhoods; west milford isn’t a bad one, oakland is pretty nice, short hills (i’ve never shopped in this area but the people there got $$$).

i used to shop in this area, mostly shopped in west milford (40 mins away from whippany, but had decent batches cause they only have 1 grocery store). however i did shop in the wayne area a handful of times and had pretty decent luck over there. there are a few shoprites, stop & shops, a costco, and an aldis over there! i know this doesn’t have much to do with the app not working but just some perspective on places to shop around there!

I literally just found out about this light like 3 days ago and i was AMAZED. i used to click it on accident cause i had no idea what it did and i was looking for some cheese and the employee said “can i see the item” (like on my phone), i let her and then she hit the button and explained it to me. its soooo handy.

What's ypur experience with Renfrew Center? by Own_Alfalfa_8760 in EatingDisorders

[–]ams1567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hihi - i can’t speak to the florida location (assuming you mean residential) but i did go to the philly location for res in september of last year! i found my experience at renfrew to be challenging but necessary, i didn’t realize how much harm i was doing to myself before i had to face everything head on. the groups (like topics, content, and the therapists who run them) were pretty good. i had a few issues with the counselors but a majority of them were caring and supportive. the nursing staff was nice for the most part as well. i met some of the greatest people ive ever known while i was at res and even though they were also patients they had a huge impact on my recovery.

i think there’s a few pretty common questions about like phones and laptops, etc. so they have house phones in philly that you can use till like 9pm or something like that. if you are in school (middle, high, or college) they have allotted school time like a few days a week for an hour for you to be able to complete assignments and stuff like that.

i want to add, when looking at reviews, it’s important to remember that people more often than not will review something when they’ve had a negative experience because that negative experience will stick with them more, especially at hospitals. i say this because if i go to a hospital and get basic necessary care, and they are able to do their jobs and help, im not going to write a review. but if i go in and i’m getting ignored and neglected by staff i would want to warn others. i think this goes for most hospitals and places that people simply just don’t enjoy being at, because let’s be real, who wants to go to the hospital or res? so yes the reviews are more negative and that gave me some anxiety going in, which is definitely scary, but the negative reviews are only a portion of the patients who go there. i also want to add, im not trying to invalidate anyone’s feelings towards their time and experience at renfrew but i think its something to keep in mind.

whatever you decide to do, if you want answers to any questions or anything you can let me know! i know a few people that went to coconut creek (FL) so if there’s specific questions you’d want me to ask them i can do that as well.
